Is anyone here going for this armor? I mean, mastering out every UNSC loadout weapon just for some armor seems excessive. However, do you think it’s worth the work?
Its a very rare armor set at least the DRFT armor set. So yea it would be a way to show that you worked for it.

I know the DRFT version is a pain, but I mean the normal version. Do you think it’s worth even going for.
i don’t like the helmet, but well
just need Vanguard, Protector and Commando for at least one of each armor set in the game, so yeah i want it.

What’s your progress on the normal Protector set, and on the Vanguard?

I did 
All you need is the UNSC Loadout weapons commendation and they are pretty easy. Use swat for pistol,DMR and BR. As for the AR play a lot of rumble pit or regicide.
I’m currently working towards Protector. Mastered DMR, BR, and Magnum.
I’m more than half way with Frags, and my AR is at about 700/1000.

The only difficult thing was the frags for me. But other than that, it was pretty easy.
Protector was a joke. Mastering the UNSC Loadout Weapons were so easy. 3/5 you can get done in SWAT (Although I got the Magnum done just in Flood). AR is easy in FFA. And Frags you just have to spam.
I’m only 250 Plasma Pistol kills away from having Protector Adrift. And once I get it… I won’t wear it.
I’m doing all the Commendations in the game so I can have 100% Commendations. It’s a goal that I want. While it may seem like it may not reward me with much, it does reward me the satisfaction that I have it done. Legitly, by the way.
And as long as I have that 100% legit completion satisfaction, then I’m happy, and that’s all that matters to me.
Protector is the only armor that actually looks impressive enough to work for out of all the other commendation armors. I guess you could count Gungnir and Venator as well but you can easily get the variant skin version through eBay.

I’m currently not too far away from mastering it. But my real goal is to get DRFT. Unfortunately, I won’t be getting it anytime soon.
I completed all the UNSC Loadout Weapons and I’m now wearing the Protector chest peice.
It is actually really easy, it’s just time consuming. If you haven’t already and you need to max the DMR, BR, & Magnum, then play SWAT. By far is that the fastest way to max those three weapons.
For the Assault Rifle and Frag grenades just play a lot of regicide. The AR definitely takes the longest but I ended up getting 15-20 kills with it every Regicide match I played.
Im going for normal protector right now actually… AR kills are a pain in the -YOINK- to be honest…
I think it’s totally worth going for. It’s not like you have to try very hard, either. Use requisition to increase the odds of finding the UNSC ordinance and just bull through the loadouts.
Honestly I think working toward Protector DRIFT is a great idea, too. You’ll learn to appreciate (or not, damn you plasma pistol) the weapons sandbox and it should increase your enjoyment of the game. It has for me, anyway. I like knowing that I can pick up any loadout weapon and know how to use it most effectively in any given situation.

I do want it because out of weapon commendations it’s the best to go for as its a stand alone set not a variant.
I got it just from playing the game dude the UNSC one is pritty easy the wepon mastery however is nearly impossible i have tried but did not do it i mean getting kills with the plasma gun i can not do seen some people who have though.
i have the protector armor. it was so worth it. my fav torso armor. as people said throughout this forum swat is a good place to start. the AR was the toughest to get. my K/D dropped from trying to get kills with that. i kept melee-ing people instead of getting the rifle kills. i am attempting to get the weapons commendations to 100%, but i believe getting plasma pistol kills on purpose is nearly impossible. i do have an overcharged (single shot) double kill with the plasma pistol in my file share.
Nah. I don’t really like the armor either to be honest. So doing all that just to get a set of armor that I don’t even like would be a waste of time. 
Like someone said above, it’s easy but time consuming. I got it a couple of weeks ago even though I don’t wear it, it’s nice to have it accomplished.
