I haven’t watched a huge amount of halo 5 pro play, but from what I have, it seems as though the pro players prefer to use the pistol over the DMR when given the chance. Anyone know why this is? If it were me I’d be using the DMR, but I’m no where near the skill level of these guys.

DMR is slow and clunky at close range, I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want to use one cross map though.
I think it is because a majority of H5’s maps are close quarters arena based. the pistol is practically on par with DMR in terms of firepower a DMR was made for long to mid shot and since the pistol is a powerful backup in close quarters, its a go to weapon for usage to get you out of a bind
Two complete different weapons. DMR is for long range and pistol is for short/meduim range.
