Pros fighting, retiring and teams breaking up

Just some things I’d like to point out about the MLG Halo community. We are losing our pros. Pros are fighting and having arguements occasionally. Pro teams are breaking up.

Austin McCleary sent me a reply on Twitter telling me that Str8 Rippin is most likely not going to team up for another season. Here is the link: Probably Not.

Lxthul has been stating that he won’t be competing in an upcoming tournament, which is whatever, but when other pros asked him why he won’t be competing, he says: ‘I rather coach and watch gaypg and formal lose’.
Here is that link: Lxthul just trying to start fights.

Then we have I believe only one pro retiring, Royborg I believe. He stated that an upcoming tournament for Reach would be his last. This is over Twitter as well, but I can not find the link.

So, pro teams always break up and usually they’ll look for another team and what not, but it can have a long lasting affect on a pro if they have trouble finding another team. They may give up during the time.

Pro’s trying to start fights can be for any reason, but I believe what Lxthul said was disrespectful and that he is just trying to start a fight. I believe pros are concerned for the future of MLG and Halo in general. There has been a lot of talk that Halo 4 will be a complete fail, but many pro’s also have a solid argument that they use against that.

We need more pro players. We need people that truly have skill to get recognized.
I know pros often retire because they take on true careers, such as the medical field or that they are just to busy with schooling. Either way, it’s happening.

inb4 MLG hate.

Why? Honest question.

Damn it. I couldn’t get off my problems with MLG before someone did that.

Why not?

Any exposure Halo receives is a good thing.

T2 on DR.Pepper was a good thing.

If people are aware of who the pros are it directly boost Halo’s popularity.

Even if the pro players don’t return (I don’t see why it matters either way), there will still be new ones.

Firstly, I highly doubt Roy will retire. I don’t think it’s going to happen, Halo 4 is too much of an opportunity to miss - just my two cents.

Also, I would take everything Lethul says with a pinch of salt, he’s a very jokey character and I don’t think he would seriously insult Formal and APG like that. Most of the pros are good friends, so I’m thinking his tweet - which you interpreted to be malicious - was just a joke.

I’m not hating on your topic. I actually found it a little interesting. But why is this in the Halo 4 forum?

Better question: why not?
No, but honestly, we do need people to step up to the MLG hate. All I ask for is that they aren’t those annoying MLGs that want halo 4 to be halo 3.5

This, also. Throughout the history of MLG pros have come and gone, with each Halo game bought a new generation of professionals. With Halo 4 I’m sure we’ll see the rise of many to fill the gaps that may be left.

What does this have to do with us needing more pros?

If Halo 4 fails there goes competitive Halo

This is good news.

Given the highly competitive nature of professional gamers, it’s no surprise to me that there would be some hard feelings amongst them. However, I’m sure that there are plenty more out there that will be willing to be in the spotlight.

I’m also sure Halo 4 will do just fine in MLG. Perhaps not as the premier draw, but it’ll be there.

Not to be a downer or any thing, but not all exposure Halo receives is a good thing.
there’s two sides of all coins, MLG you got people who are playing Halo, getting paid to kick -Yoink-, but you also got the MLG want-a-bes who make MLG look bad.

Also, MLG for Halo promotes only MP, so then Halo get’s players who are more MP only gamers, those MP only gamers start turning Halo into a MP only game, which does more damage than good. There is more to Halo than just MP, and there’s more than just one way to promote a game, and get a wide group of people to play the game.

Don’t worry, I’m still here.

Well, you know, people come and go. There will be always players to replace them.

You’d think people would want more exposure on Campaign than Multiplayer.

Who gives a damn, they’re abunch of no life turbo nerds.

there will be new pros, don’t worry about it, the current younger generation will probably stick around while the older ones leave.
