Pros/Cons: Steam vs. Xbox App vs. Microsoft Store: Which is best for PC?

Will I have to purchase Halo Infinite campaign twice to play it on both PC and Xbox Console? Or do I have to purchase it from the Xbox App or Microsoft store instead of Steam?

Is progression shared? What’s the difference?

Pretty sure if you purchase it in the MS Store it’ll work on both Xbox and PC, but if you buy it on Steam it’s probably steam only. Progression is shared regardless if you use Steam or not though.
