343 it goes without saying that halo 4 is far from a perfect game.
Both the campaign and multiplayer have their flaws. Only a few of these can be fixed by a TU mind you.
Lets start with the pros and cons of the campaign
+Good concept
+CGI Cutscenes almost look like live action
+More emphasis on chief and cortanas relationship
+Great set pieces
+Great soundtrack (Lack of the halo theme is saddening though)
-Way too short
-No memorable characters
-Quicktime events (come on… nobody likes these)
-You think the ending is building up to a climactic boss battle but ends with a cutscene…
-Can get tedious at points
-skulls are already available (Skull hunting in halo 3 was half the fun of the campaign)
Campaign 7/10 Enjoyable
Forge + custom games (343 Took one step forward and two steps back in my opinion)
+Magnets are a great addition
+Flood skins are a great concept which we have been waiting for
-Removal of forge world (The only thing halo reach did right and they remove it, really?)
-The maps we are given are small
-Maps contain pre-built structures we cannot remove
-The kill zones while forging are ridiculous
-Flood has less customization than infection
-Custom games are lacking
Forge + custom games 5/10 lackluster
Multiplayer (Here we go)
+Graphical update
+Hit detection improved
+Connection is much better than halo 3’s
-343’s departure from halo’s roots as an arena shooter
-Custom classes have led to an imbalance in game
-Ordnance replacing pre-placed weapons has discouraged map movement + control
-XP system is flawed (Earning 1500 XP just for finishing a game no matter the outcome. Really?)
-No ranked playlists causing casuals and competitives to mix which evidently does not work
-Warthogs and most other vehicles now useless due to them being weak and being able to spawn with plasma pistols
-DMR wins every gun battle
-Map design is disappointing
-Too much focus on BTB in their map design not enough focus on smaller team bases gametypes. (4v4 on complex, really?)
-343 changing things for the sake of it
-Lack of a BTB objective playlist
-Lack of VIP, one flag, assault
-Lack of multi-team
Multiplayer 5/10 Nothing special
halo 4 6/10 Disappointing
