Propsed lore on new weapons.

Good morning Spartans,

So we have just got our first look at some of the weapons, mainly UNSC ones and I seem to be part of the chorus of fans loving the design of all the weapons currently. As the article elaborates reasons further, so check it out. This is my proposed lore to the some of the weapon changes.

With Cortana and the Created potentially seizing the entire military- industrial complex of the UNSC, mainly all Misriah armouries, foundries and factories. The free UNSC forces have had to adapt to the sudden shock to their once certain supply lines, while being able to forge and adapt strategies to suit the new threats. This has resulted in the weapon forges onboard the UNSC Infinity and other free UNSC and Swords of Sanghilios ships, once simply pre fabricated production lines, now also becoming design hubs for new weapon types to suit new requirements. This desperation for war materials has also resulted in the less than tasteful union between free UNSC forces and potential insurrectionists and free planet forces. The price of which is yet to be fully realised.

This is my proposed reason why weapons like the Bulldog, the Commando and Sidekick have taken the frontline place of standard weapons like the M90 shotgun, DMR and Magnum. What do you all think?

I think this is a good theory. And an interesting one too. It may also explain why Chief was using a MA37, (correct me if I’m wrong) in the campaign demo.

Thank you and yes it is a Reach style derivative. Maybe it has been reissued due to its abundance with free worlds and insurrectionists. Also It may not have certain smart features that could allow cortana to lock it up.

I love the Idea of this, it makes sense and I would really enjoy this as canon.

Time to start bartering with the Swords of Sangheilios. Their weapons are more effective against the Forerunner machines and Created anyway. If the UNSC is in a really tight spot, they should suck it up and trade with Kig-Yar, Jiralhanae and Insurrectionists. In the end, all species are in it together.
