Properly Implement Aim In The Next Game

As some know, the aiming in this game is kinda screwed up. Simply because how aiming was separated into two groups with aiming and turning. Though they gave the option to fix this, it was something that benefit the game for some people which ultimately turned them away from the game. Personally after playing Halo 2-3 and even Halo 4, the aiming in those games felt solid. Though in Halo 5 they wanted to make the game more competitive but by doing so their way I feel it wasnt for the best. It wont appeal to newer people because they might find it harder to get into the game.

Whenever Halo 6 hits I want 343i to leave the aiming alone and return it to the Halo 4 style of aiming. the ways they made the aim assist and bullet in the this game is kind of a joke. I enjoyed Halo 4 and if they didnt add in the stuff they did and added in what Halo 5 has along with halo 4’s aiming, aim assist and bullet mag I think the game would have done better and more people would have liked it more.

It’s pretty much unanimously agreed in the competitive community that the new aiming doesn’t benefit the game in any form.

Halo 4 had way too much bullet magnetism and aim assist though, to the point aiming didn’t matter.

Good and hopefully 343 returns it to the way it was

I would also love to see the old system return even though the new system doesn’t seem to throw me off that much, heck I haven’t even changed my dead-zones and acceleration yet.

As some of you know, there are countless threads on this subject if you do a quick search.

To me, I’m not ever fighting the players, I’m fighting my controller. Not fun.

Aiming that doesnt feel like -Yoink- regardless of aim settings? Is that too much to ask from of 343?? Just throw it back to previous Halos, before Halo 4 where it as too easy and before Halo 5 where aiming feels like -Yoink-

The aiming in this game seems fine to me.

There is also a thread with info as to how you can set your settings to the Halo 4 standard.

With 60fps and the move away from overly generous aim assists and bullet magnetism… it was always going to be hard to find a generic aim mechanic that was a best fit for everyone.

You can now set your own sensitivity, view acceleration, and dead zones… which gives you control.

I like that you can find your own sweet spot.

Not sure what else 343i can do…

Some people just want to be like Chocolate Mousse… Top Secret

this.

I think the 60 fps was a bit off-putting, butbreally its my controller. I want stiffer sticks. the xbone sticks are too loose feeling.

I went back to TMCC last week and hated the aiming compared to Halo 5’s. Ive found the sweet spot for me, im glad they let us adjust it.

They should have just told everyone they fixed it. 90% would have said “Oh it’s better now”.

That’s pretty much exactly what they said and what happened as a result.

Regardless it’s still wonky.

There is an incredibly handy search function at the top of the page, middle-left, just to the right of your profile.

Works fine for me.
