All too often I spot people popping their regeneration fields outside of a firefight, then sitting idly in them.
I don’t think it’s common knowledge yet that you don’t have to sit in the field for your shield to recharge.
Think of the field more as a waypoint, or checkpoint that you run through. Lets say I get shot and my shields are down and there is a field one second away from me. If I simply pass through it, it will stimulate my shields to recharge.
It has more of a catalyst effect than an AOE (area of effect), and it’s not a bad tool with this principle in mind!
people use things their own way, and you shouldn’t tell them to do otherwise
for example, i believe that Warthogs are more effective when the driver moves cautiously, and away from battle, allowing the gunner to find targets easier, and faster, and with the ability to engage them more effectively
however, most people seem to use the Warthog as a very fast snowplow with a handgun mounted on the back
does it piss me off that people are using it that way? Yes
Is my way more effective? Absolutely, at least from how I’ve used it
do i really care too much? No, it’s just a game after all
and they payed good money for the game
if they want to, and they are able to do so, they can do whatever they want
