343’s link to the new Action Sack mode “Prop Hunt”
(Don’t get mad at me for the language, that’s 343’s link from today’s update lol)
I hate to judge something before I play it, but this looks worse than tank world. Am I missing something here? Someone explain this mode to me because I’ve never seen it and have no desire to play it. Sell me on it. I don’t understand it at all. You just pretend to be a tire or something and hope they don’t see you?
Prop hun is actually pretty fun and worth a try.
Prop Hunt is a custom game type that was developed using Gary’s Mod in Source software, the same software used to develop CS:GO. The premise is that there are hunters and hiders, and the hiders assume the look of inconspicuous items and position themselves somewhere in the map to remain alive until the timer expires. The original version of it has some checks and balances to make it a more fair game, such as the hunters losing health when shooting non-hiders, and the hiders making noise while disguised at certain time intervals to let the hunters home in on them. The Halo 5 version developed as a custom game is similar in spirit, and can be entertaining. However, it lacks these checks and balances. It can be considered “boring” for hiders since once you’re hidden, the goal is to stay hidden, so there is alot of sitting around. However, rounds are pretty short, and the Infection base randomly assigns hunters and hiders. It is a fun mini-game that many enjoy, despite its flaws.
I watched the video and thought “So you just hide in a corner disguised as a tire?” Sounds like the original version where the hunter loses health would be fun, you couldn’t just run around blasting things. Seems like playing the objective might get stale quickly and it will be interesting to see what bored players do in this mode lol. I’ll give it a shot just to see what happens.
Eh, I never really liked prop hunt. I wish something else was added.
Should have cut out Minotaurs if they were going to add another game of hide and go seek. RIP Tank World.
I know it would be hard to make, but a Murder game mode from Gary’s Mod would be super awesome.
Prop Hunt is cool, but Vehicle Fiesta would’ve been a better choice for Action Sack. It simply makes sense.

I think both would be a welcome addition. I never thought about a Vehicle Fiesta though, well done. I’m finding that Action Sack in general is becoming stale for lack of updates to it and a few silly game modes that I seem to get more so than others (still have yet to see Mongoose Sumo, yet it’s rumored/confirmed to still be in there after 50+ Action Sack games).
At least the objective is kill the mongeese. Can’t wait to try it!
Give the custom games version a try, idk what they did with this version
OMG this game type sucks -Yoink-!! Can’t really believe that some people enjoy it. It is really boring… Hope it gets removed from the playlist soon enough.

The game is more or less ghost busters. No one uses props, everyone just hides in corners because they’re invisible.
When this game pops up, me and my girlfriend hate it. So if one of us is alive, we’ll pick a prop, and say where anyone else is that isn’t a prop
I think it’s best reserved for the Custom Browser and not the Action Sack playlist as it gets boring extremely quick. I’d love to see it replaced within Action Sack with something else – perhaps one of these:
