I was browsing YouTube when I stumbled onto this guy. So what’s your guy’s take on this?
I think the H2 BR should stop being on maps in MM.

I think the H5 BR should be removed completely, but we know thats not going to happen. The H2 BR is a fan favourte and deserves the be in MM maps.

My thoughts are that the game was not designed with the H2 BR in mind, so it doesn’t play as well with it being the default. And this is gonna be controversial as all hell…
but just because it’s a fan favorite, doesn’t automatically mean it deserves to be in the game.
… 343 even said the Halo 2 battle rifle is better.

I agree, I’d prefer 343 stop adding in classic weapons to the newer games as then we get people fighting over everything. Btw, h2 br looks better IMO, but takes less effort to use compared to h5 br. That h2 br has a lot of magnetism.

this ^^ it is an unlock/upgraded weapon for a reason

or players should start with it in certain maps… lol, Like the map guillotine, since its based off of Halo 2, why not just give players the classic start too.
I love the halo 2 br but the halo 5 br feels pretty good too. Honestly I like using both of them.

Yeah but this still shows the halo 5 br only really has one thing better than the halo 2 br
That’s a test done in Arena. The reason I never use the H2 BR in Warzone is because I can’t slap a silencer on it and be invisible on the motion sensor with the upgraded sensors armor mod. Being completely invisible on people’s motion sensors outweighs any benefit the H2 BR uses.
My go to BR is the silenced recon one

Same if I had silenced H2 Br, foams at mouth game set -Yoinking!- match.
H2 BR has slower kill time so for someone who has awesome aim, the regular BR would be better.
The H2 BR just has RIDICULOUS aim assist.

But a lot of arena maps have the H2 BR, so the fact the H2 BR is stronger is not to be entirely brushed away.

Well then thanks for the tips viper. But yes since you can’t put attachments on it it’s not as effective in Warzone as it is in say… Btb

Agreed. When playing Arena, I’ll use the H2 BR whenever I get a chance. The increased magnetism is reason enough to use it.
In all honesty, the H5 BR just FEELS better to me. For some reason, I never know where my shots are going to go with the H2 BR. This coming from someone who has played Halo for over 15 years.
It took me a while to warm up the H2 BR. The first couple of times the fire rate seemed slower than the H5. So it sat on the shelf, until 1 day, I decided to try it again, now I switch to it as soon as I level up.
If the H5 BR had the H2 BR scope, it would be perfect. I actually do like the way the H5 br feels, but the ADS just kills it for me. It’s not only aesthetically displeasing, but it messes with my aim with the whole sight and gun taking up a large portion of my screen. I end up never even aiming with it, and it means losing opportunities to take out enemies at range. This is why I’ve switched over to the DMR for pretty much every scenario.
