Better proof would have been directly from the Grand Finals of HCS last night, where a member of Faze fired a Rocket directly under a dude as he jumps over it, apparently, and kills the player. I think the problem is more to do with the spherical blast effect than the damage it does, though.
Well what do you expect from developers who have plans to support this game for 10 years? Players really want new content, so of COURSE the deves are going to hold some content behind in order to release it to the Halo Infinite sandbox and make it change the dynamics of the game.
Take a look at Rainbow Six Siege. The original plan with that game was to support it for a decade, adding 8 new operators every year with the end goal of getting to 100 operators total. But now they add only one new operator per year and they stopped adding new weapons except on a rare occasion. They have extended the lifetime of Siege and they have slowed how new content gets put in because of that. Now the support for Siege is projected to be 17 years.
It just makes sense that 343 will have some content withheld and then added in later.
Im taking a look at Halo 4, Halo 5 and The Master Chief Collection, no other games. Just Halo titles, 343 Industries literally had roadmaps for each game, they literally were updating the community on what they plan on doing or releasing each week, with hot fixes and updates ; Both on the games themselves and on ( OLD ) Waypoint.
Communication is key, promises were made before the holiday season and the holiday season is over and they are pretty quiet about everything, even during the holiday season, they were rolling out “ Patches “ to the game.
There isn’t an excuse they or defenders can conjure up. On that, 343 Industries is only choosing to communicate with Halo content creators, streamers or individuals with a high follower count who are defending them on twitter.
Yet 343 Industries is pretty silent.
- During there last video, they ignored questions and concerns the player base has had, from gameplay to the in game shop, nothing but silence.
There making the choice to do so, its fine, but when the population continues to drop daily, monthly and yearly ; even then, they won’t care. Not until they have a roadmap, and start actually communicating with the fanbase on Waypoint, THEE official site for Halo Infinite and all Halo titles.
TWITTER is not the official site for Halo, but there treating it as such.
It’s going to take time to rework the game on all levels, but time has past and they haven’t done anything to show for it.
Weekly events that happen every month isn’t “ NEW CONTENT “ when that content is being recycled or sold in the in game shop.
I find it odd that Twitter and Reddit are more of a platform for Halo than this site. It should be the other way around
To be fair, this site is new.
The old forums for Halo had been scrapped out like six months ago. The forums that have existed since the days of Halo 4 if I recall.
I’m more so talking about when 343 announces things or talks. It would make more sense from them to talk thru anything Halo related like thru the game or here and then post of a link of them talking here on Reddit or Twitter instead of going directly to Twitter. That reply that sketch made still rubs me the wrong way because it was made deep in the Reddit posts. A place where the average normie who doesn’t look up Halo news won’t know about
I wouldnt say rockets but haydra, bulldog, that bouncy shotgun too. And: you pick up rockets for example and cant shoot immediatley like in previous Halos. Same when switching weapons, you need a short time to be able to shoot.
The AoE kill radius needs to be larger on the explosion.
On another note, anyone have their rockets just disappear after they fire them? I’ve had this happen to me about 5 or so times.
Remember rocket jumping? Good times.
Probably easier now since you don’t take much damage. Haven’t tried it
Don’t, you’ll die. Maybe over shield helps. Considering how much the gravity hammer actually affects gravity I wouldn’t expect much.
That’s funny - that would have killed me. Do it all the time.
I’ve got a bundle of clips where I land a rocket under peoples feet and they just lose shields and float away, boo.
Been doing alot of Fiesta & the common thing I come across is the kamikaze rockets. Players will run up to you & fire, causing you to die but not them.
Splash Damage is heavily broken in Infinite now.
A rocket to the feet of a guy kills a Spartan, but allows his buddy who is literally shoulder-to-shoulder with him to survive somehow.
Meanwhile in a recent match, my shields were broken by a rocket ten-feet away.
