Dude, it is one shot to kill them (the head), if you think they are too OP you should go check out the Knights in Halo 4.
That’s a problem with the spawning, not the marines themselves.
Yeah, they have to respawn sometime so I guess you just got unlucky.

This has happened at least 5 times now. The marines appear in the home base regardless if players are nearby. It’s really annoying. And it’s almost impossible to kill them before they destroy you.
The real problem is why you went for the beat down instead of assassinating him! I mean come on man! You ALWAYS take up the chance! That also would have taken longer and gave the marines time to spawn and you time to react!
I think you fully deserved that death. Camping in the back of the enemy core while refusing to do damage to the core.
Had you landed either of those first two shots, probably wouldn’t be having this conversation

Well, you are in the enemies home base so you should be expecting them to show up at any time. They also help prevent camping in the core since you can’t take over their home base.

Actually, I’m the one who ended up destroying it. There were too many people in the core room at the time so I picked them off from the back of the base, working forward until my team had a clear shot at the core.

It’s kind of disorienting when you have to deal with a barrage of fire while picking off enemies. I got one.
You got caught and if you remember how well it goes when you betray marines in CE, -Yoink- got real and fast. They are no joke just cuz they don’t have shields lol. They are accurate and deadly in packs. They can throw pro nades very well too.

Only in the sense that they seem to have anti vehicular bullets. Every time I Zip by an armory, my vehicle get shredded and starts popping. Also gets rid of a Banshee Ultra’s shields like nothing.
I don’t agree that they are OP; Now at least you know where they spawn. Does it stink when a Marine kills you, yeah, but you can kill them back, yesss.

On a serious note marines are op haha. They can rekt your banshee more than most of the spartan weapons.
