😡 Proof Custom Games is broken

@GusTank04 Nevermind, I actually tried it, and looks like it places all bots on your team because like you said it cannot exceed 8 total.

If I set Eagle to 5 and Cobra to 8, then it puts the first 5 on one team and 3 on the other to only have 8.

Ok here is the “ONLY WAY” I can connect to those Microsoft Azure Servers
with a custom game mode!

After you have edited your custom mode and saved it!

  1. goto server and select offline.
  2. Select Map “FIRST”
  3. Select Your “Custom Game Mode that you edited”.
  4. Hit Play
  5. After starting the game for 10 secs. leave game then leave game.
As fast you you can goto server select Xbox Live.
and hit play as fast as you can.

It’s a Mickey Mouse way of doing it but it works
about 90% of the time. It’s the only way I can
connect to those damn Microsoft Azure Servers!

Hope This helps! :metal:

Side Note:

You must save a game mode “BEFORE” you can edit and save your game mode.

I did not mean XP progression. I meant that literally all you can play in a CGB room are whatever the host has set it to. In a regular custom game room you can pass the host around, you can read the room and play something people like, and most importantly you aren’t stuck to a tiny pre-determined pool. Hence,

“There’s no progression, each room is just a fish that swims in a circle.”

Lol, yeah

I’m testing this out as we speak. Will get back soon with results.

Remember, The stock mode work fine but, I had edited 50 different settings and saved the file call BTB XTREME. Now if you leave the game then boot up the game up again you cant connect to the MS Azure game servers with your modded game mode. You can’t even edit it. That is why I run my MCC server. It works unlike the Halo Infinite Custom Games.

I can confirm this. You can only edit your custom game type once.

 I know !!!

If you make one mistake in the Mode Editor you have to delete the Custom Mode And start all over again!

I have 50 changes in my Custom BTB mode and I can’t connect to the MS Asure

Game severs but If i don’t make any changes to the stock game mode it will work! You gotta love it!!

So I just hope 343i getz off their hiney and fixes this so we can start play’n our custom game modes!

PEACE! :fist_right: :fist_left:

If it is broken, this is really going to suck when forge releases if they don’t fix whatever is broken before then. Actually, it will destroy forge world custom games, and that will be the last straw for hundred and thousands off players after all they have had to put up with so far if forge ends up broken.

One of my mates was able to properly save a mode but he didn’t tell me how.

MCC’s forge is still janky in this regard…

Yeah I notice sometimes I’ll work on a Reach map and the save button won’t be there.

I didn’t even bother with it knowing what we were given. Halo 5 I played with it a little bit but the lighting was an huge issue. The only forge I spent any time with was Halo Reach.

The only reason I will play this game is if and when the forge world is added. If it’s broken I have no reason to play this game at all.

I mean customs in MCC are decent now, but we can still only have 50 files saved with duplicate saving a common possibility, maps and gamemodes can’t just be kept on our cloud like everything else and accessing the File Share system is still convoluted.
But 3, Reach, and 4’s forge have gotten better.

All my maps are on the original Halo Reach. If we could I would transfer them because there is no way I’m going to remake all my maps on MCC

There are a few ways of doing that. I’m not very experienced with doing it myself (I started the process, failed, and found a copy of the map I was looking for elsewhere) but it’s totally doable.

Is this save data on an Xbox 360? If not, which model?

Does anyone have the problem where the custom game automatically switches you to the other team?

When trying to play a custom game with my friends and we select our teams, right before the game begins, sometimes it decides to randomly switch someone to the other team…

You’re not the only one who has complained about that. I haven’t heard much about this issue but from what I remember it doesn’t always happen so one workaround is to end the game, set it up again, and then try again.

This is such a weird problem to have. I can’t imagine the rhyme or reason behind the bug.

This is how you do it:

  1. Goto the game mode you want to save.
  2. Right Click on the Game Mode
  3. On the bottom click on “View Details”
  4. In the menu you can save the game mode!
  5. Then shut down the game.
  6. Reboot the game
  7. Then you can edit your game mode.

What a load of crap you have to go thru just to edit & save a game mode. :rage:
I wonder who in 343i thought this was a good way to to save and edit a game mode

If 343i does not know how to do it correctly I can make a flow chart for 343i to get it right in the first place! IMHO 343i is way over thinking a lot of this stuff! 343i just makes it harder for themself.

Good Luck

OK in your lobby ( I hate lobbies lol ) you can select what team you wish to play on. Now H.I. does not let you create your own squads like other games,( IE: Battlefield Franchaise ) . Now in H.I. I have found out your team does not switch base sides like in Halo MCC if you have set your game mode to Two Rounds. If you join a custom game you can select what side you wish to play on. NOW! if the teams are even you will not be able to switch teams.

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:
