Proof: 343 objectively knows nothing about halo

3 episodes in to the Halo tv series, and the covenant is already consistently referring to Chief as ‘the demon.” Even though he hasnt even laid eyes on the ring yet. Yall should be ashamed 343.

You do realize that the show is only loosely tied to the franchise from a lore standpoint and it’s not canon, right? The Silver timeline is completely separate from every other piece of halo content from a canonical standpoint.

1 The TV show happen in the Silver timeline, a different uiverse from the games

2 Even in the original universe created by the games and books, the covenants called every Spartan demons (taller humans killing a lot of covenant is really demoniac for believer like them). The Master Chief became “the” demon when he destroy the Halo ring

That detracts from the fact that the show is attempting to use “the demon” (something that IS established canon from the games) as a way to describe Chief. Except that the only reason they call Chief the demon is because he destroyed an object that was sacred to their religion. Now, since that timeline no longer exists (as you yourself have even stated) the covenant referring the Chief as “the demon” comes from absolutely nothing. Its fan service for the sake of fan service. And proves their ignorance.

In the main canonical universe, the Spartans are referred to as demons as early as 2526 during the events of Operation: SILENT STORM in Halo: Silent Storm. Alpha Halo a.k.a Installation 04 isn’t discovered until 2552. I recommend reading the book, it’s a pretty well written novel.
