Promotional Coatings - Any confirmation on any returning?

Has there been any recent confirmation on if any of the promotional coatings will be sold in the shop or return in some way once their exclusivity period is over?

An example of this is the Nabisco promo for stuff like the Granular and Monarch Mark VII armor coatings. Not only were these a pain to find, the promotion happened way before the launch of Infinite. Now these coatings are going for THOUSANDS of dollars which is absolutely absurd.

On the promo site it said these were locked behind the promo for 3 months at the launch of Infinite, which implies it will be available to all players starting around now, however I assume it’s up to 343 and I have no faith they even remember this stuff so I feel like we’ll never see them again.

Unique coatings like this shouldn’t be tied to year old promotions that barely anyone knew about to begin with.

I want the adrenal coatings to return but it seems unlikely to happen.

I think your best bet is that 343 gets so desperate for content that they sell some of them in a bundle later on or a variant of them Ă—coughĂ— 152 weapon skins Ă—coughĂ—

Other than that, probably not.

Can you imagine if Watchdog went into the store!? Oh my gosh that would make my year :joy: the community would absolutely lose it!

I would go into an indescribable rage to which reality would lose all meaning.

Watchdog is the only armor you earn, I mean REALLY earn. They sell it, I’ll be done with halo altogether. I’ll even sell my Xbox and get a nintendo just to make sure of it.

So you’re just mostly upset you couldn’t get them? What a surprise.

If a paid for product is sold on the basis that you get exclusive access to a certain coating that nobody else has, then no, in my opinion they absolutely should not be re-released in the store. It is kind of the point of unique coatings, they are meant to be in limited supply.

There should be enough creativity that they don’t need to recycle old coatings; but then that creativity has not been shown to date… so expect watchdog to be in the store by Christmas!!

In this person’s defence, some of these promotional items are legitimately hard to obtain. I know that the nail polish promotional coating is pretty complicated. I don’t know exactly what the whole story is there but based on what I’ve read, it’s a mess. Cost of the promotional items is also a hindrance.

The promos in general are a mess. Some were put out in 2020 in the months before infinite was supposed to be released, and when the god awful gameplay was shown and everything got delayed, those promotions were kinda forgotten.

I’m still kinda ticked at watchdog.
I was told that you had to get 152 BEFORE release, now it’s just whenever you get there. Like they recognize infinites mess and want you to keep playing h5 rather then lose you to the competition.

Why not?

Being observant and catching onto promos early isn’t all that difficult, especially if it pays off.

Being an early adopter usually comes with perks.

Trand0 and Venture Jones: “Oh you’re asking for content to return in a game deprived of that very thing? Sucks to be you. muffled in the background …yes 343 direct deposit will be just fine, love you.”

Yeah, the games missing content sure. But you don’t cut off your nose to spite your face. People paid money for some of those promotional items and it would look really bad on 343 if they started selling them just because the lack content. Its 343s literal job to produce content. People want the promotional items because there is so little content available to the consumer right now. If 343 didn’t take a seasonal approach to content creation, we wouldn’t have that problem.

Really the game doesn’t lack content per se, it’s just that most of it is behind a paywall. If they left everything up all at once, you could pick and choose what you wanted, we’d be semi happy. But the prices would have to be reasonable which they are not right now.

Nah man get a PlayStation instead if that happens. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo also did something that would severely enrage people (they already have technically).

It’s actually very straight forward. As long as you’re in a country that it’s active in (which to be fair is a pretty small pool of countries currently) it’s very straight forward process and quick.

Nah I’m old school NES generation. Gotta respect my roots and some OG Mario Kart.

hope not…no point in it being “exclusive” or “promotional” if you can just buy it a year later for 10 bucks.

Lol the pre-order Zeta Sky bundles are still busted. I doubt they will roll anything back around.

What do you mean Zeta Sky is bugged?

Look it up, plenty of posts. But there are two sides of this.

  1. Walmart.
Each storefont had a different weapon coating along with the armor and nameplate. Walmart had a sidekick, Amazon Commando, Best Buy BR, Gamestop AR. I got the Amazon Commando skin. However, when the game released, Walmart didn’t send out any pre-order codes. Turns out, Microsoft never got them to Walmart. So the walmart customers never got their codes. I was just replying to someone who still doesn’t have theirs.
  2. Glitched
On top of the walmart issue, my Girlfriend was supposed to get an AR code from Gamestop. And when she redeemed the code, that’s what her redemption history says. Except in-game, she didn’t get the armor coating, nor the nameplate. In fact, not even the AR coating. Instead, she got the only the sidekick. You know, the coating meant for Walmart. I looked it up and many people are either SOL, or glitched.

So yeah, something went seriously wrong with the codes.
