“We” as in the people who choose to listen and follow this message, not the community as a whole.
In the four responses you’ve had in this thread, three have been literally sentences worth of you saying absolutely nothing. And the fourth was just you being wrong in a few different ways.
Patience? It took them two months to solve the BTB problem that normal online games should solve in a week?
Learn to be patient and wait for 343 to update the game completely when the game is dying?
Just like what happened with MCC and h4h5.
Are you satisfied with their efficiency?
You’re the first person I’ve ever met who thinks that.
If 343 can’t get the job done on time, then people will leave, leaving only loyal players and 343 fans to become another half-dead game.
Players don’t want this kind of thing, so you hear endless complaints and repeated quality control of 343.
This won’t stop until 343 is fixed or the game is completely dead. You can enjoy the services provided by 343 yourself, But by playing devil’s advocate and platitudes to persuade people to wait patiently for the game to die? This is not going to happen.
People will argue until 343 fixes the game or the day they give up caring about the game.
If you’re used to the efficiency of 343 and you think they’re doing fine and you’re tired of people complaining about the game, you can shut down the community for a few days.
Yeah, that’d be my post to you. As this is more than opinions, I’m sorely tempted for you to prove it.
Yes, patience. And perhaps leave the Echo Chamber if I’m the very first person you’ve encountered holding the rationale that such fixes don’t happen over night.
Then leave. The constant whining coupled with willful ignorance that concerns and criticisms are being addressed in due time is exhausting.
They never leave. So many times I’ve read comments about how terrible Halo Infinite is, then loaded up their gamertag, and observed the commenter played multiplayer for several hours straight after posting their comment.
Except this isn’t an echo chamber? Everyone here has different ideas about the way this game could be better. The only thing we’re all agreeing on here is that the game DOES NEED to improve. And I’m trying to point out to anyone that’s given up hope that we still have an amount of power to wield, no matter how small it is. And the only thing you are doing is desperately trying your hardest to convince anyone and everyone to not try at all. Honestly, you’re probably just a Microsoft shill.
Nah. I read enough of the previous back and forth to get the gist of it. I read Mattchaq’s comment, then Heathen’s, then your response to Heathen’s response to Mattchaq’s. I got plenty of context.
At the risk of this being considered off topic, I just want to point out how you are making this completely off topic, and my response will be as well. You are proving my point by again adding literally nothing to the conversation, and practically begging for attention and a response. And the fact that you are blindly using my useage of an old internet phrase (that is so bathed in irony it’s done three full circle cultural loops) to launch an ad hominem attack against me even further proves that.
Ah, in a post not even addressed to you. Your opinions do not make for fact, Zarrow, and what you call nothing is a fact. We are not a monolith. We do not share a singular vision or want for what “Halo” should be. As The Community does not know 100% what The Community wants, how the hell can 343i 100% know what is wanted? Ridiculous.
Explain. You’re doing a lot of s**t throwing here, but very little proving. For one so keen to tell me I’m saying nothing, you’re saying even less.
That was not addressed to you. Not every post in this thread is directed to you. As such the rest of this paragraph is your favorite word; nothing.
Dude there is no need to be thorough when the problem and solution is just right there : Release a completed game.
Games in the past 5 years have been releasing half-finished and it’s becoming a really bad trend.
But if you really want me to address what 343 could have improved on before release then my two cents is that they should have focused on adding more content for MP before going on their break. While BTB breaking is just bad luck, the fact the game is barebones in content is unacceptable. I’m willing to bet if they actually got a custom browser running along with remake of H3’s Guardian, people will be entertained until May.
Zarrowsmith: “you’re a loser”
Me: “okay, then you’re a loser”
Zarrowsmith: “how dare you use an ad hominem attack”
Also insulting someone isn’t by default an ad hominem argument. It’s when you attack them personally instead of their argument. Example:
Person A: “Store prices should be lower because I have all these monetization analytics from comparable games.”
Person B: "Well you failed math class in high school so we shouldn’t listen to your comment about store prices. "
You started the mudslinging, my guy. I just responded to your post directly calling me out to call you out.
Of course the irony is that you want to deride me for straying off topic while writing a full off topic paragraph. Lampshading your post as being off topic doesn’t actually make you look any better. Here watch I can do it too: “My entire post is off topic and will continue to be off topic so long as this loser keeps calling me a loser.”
I have never downloaded or played Infinite, I refuse to contribute to the game whatsoever while its in this state, and that includes their metric for total number of downloads, and total overall player account.
If people keep playing, even if they don’t buy anything, they are acting as warm bodies for the spenders to play with. You’re making the game more playable for whales.
Honestly your logic is so poor I’m starting to wonder if you’re a 343 astroturf account.
