Will Promethium Vision be the next Armor Lock? This is a confusing statement. What I mean by it is will it be the next Armor Ability to be complained about for the whole of the game until 343i nerfs and renders it useless? I like Promethium Vision the way it is, and it should not change.
People using Promethean Vision doesn’t affect me, personally, any more than someone using their motion tracker. Assuming the range is slightly decreased (since a lot of people are complaining mainly about this), I don’t see this happening.

Knowing the way this community complains, nothing is set in stone.
PV is just a 3D radar, so no it won’t be the next armor lock. 343i just needs to lower the range a tad and increase the recharge time slightly, then it’ll be fine.
And I’m I the only one who found JP much more damaging to gameplay than AL?
I don’t have a problem with the range i have a problem with the recharge rate.
Frankie said months ago that PV was basically a crutch for people who had poor knowledge of their surroundings on the map. He actually was quoted on NeoGAF as saying he thinks a good player would try it once and swap it for something else.
IMO, that won’t be the case until PV has it’s range reduced to standard radar length.
Or, at least tone it down so people can’t cross-map it like in the MLG gameplay…
Good lord, SUCH RANGE!!! (Secret reference to a line in a game nobody played except me.)

I did notice the recharge seemed a little fast. But we’ll see.

Yes jetpack was the destroyer, I for one chose armor lock and sprint…
The problems I have with it is:
-You can see the players weapon.
-The range is VERY long.
-Noobs don’t usually use the motion tracker but now they’ll be handed a simple one.
It’ll be a horrible environment to be around, I’ll be playing the playlists without PV if it isn’t changed dramatically.
I don’t personally like PV at all, but I also am fairly certain I’ll NEVER use it. The Motion Tracker is just fine, I almost never ever would see an advantage, other than possible knowing that the enemy behind the corner has a shotty/sword/rockets. And in that case, it’s not really a huge deal anymore it’s a pretty rare occurance and I doubt I’d bennifit greatly from using it.
Although I can’t stress how much I hate the fact that I am fairly certain that PV can see crouched players. That’s a huge problem for me.
I use crouch… A LOT.
guys, guys, guys… Promethean Vision is nothing to worry about, when you see my hologram, you know your screwed xD
Only problem with PV is if it slows game flow…which I don’t think it will so much as AL did. Only way I see PV slowing down game flow is if everyone uses it to hide in corners, which I don’t think will happen much at all.
I don’t really care. All PV does is help people find where I am, which is what I want anyways. It doesn’t stop me from killing them, so I see no reason to complain about it.

I think the AA itself could be balanced it if ONLY showed a still image of the player, in the position and location they were in when Promethean Vision’s ‘ping’ effect hits them. If that happens, the AA’s range doesn’t really bother me.
I’m sure Promethean Vision’s range will be significantly lowered. The range needs to be less than the diameter of a radar or else it’ll be a sniper’s dream come true when you can pea shot and know exactly where the enemie is behind the wall or coming up next.
And no, at its current state, PV is NOT just another radar substitute, for one, you can see anyone even when they are moving very slowly or staying idle. This makes covering/hiding until your shields recharge futiless as you can just chuck grenade and kill the enemie. Another thing is you can shoot and switch to cover back and forth and still know exactly where the enemie is.
Definitely not. I played halo 4 for a few hours at rtx and at e3, and I can safely say that PV is definitely not OP.
Basically, if you suck at reading your radar, you use PV. If you’re comfortable using your radar and you have general knowledge of the map spawns, then PV is pretty much pointless to use. You’re much better off using some other armor ability.

That would render the AA useless but I’d still love to it to change to that. :L
In all fairness, PV doesn’t seem like it will be bad to gameplay since it only shows you where people are. It’s Halo. Unless you can shoot across the map, and through walls, it won’t be game-breaking. If you’re good with your radar, then you can do almost the same with it. If you use increased awareness, then you’re ever closer to it, while still being able to use another AA.

I highlighted the problem. You cannot tell if an AA is OP by using it for a few hours. You could get into thousands of different scenarios in the actual game.
Knowing map spawns and being able to read the motion tracker are what good players are able to do. A lot of bad players tell me “…the motion tracker is useless…”, but with this Promethean vision, they’ll be handed all the information they need and more information that the motion tracker - Map spawns, where other players are, what weapon other players are using, what direction other people are facing, ect.
It’s much more overpowered than armour lock, in my opinion.
Well personally playing Halo 4 for myself, I say PV ain’t all that bad
