I’ve been thinking may promethians end up like digital flood in a gameplay esscense. We know there are still more composers and Jul madam has control of the promethians but he still needs more there’s a small amount of them maybe only an army’s worth. So I see Jul assimilating all the species of his faction and putting them into promethian bodies so we could have promethian grunts elites jackals hunters etc plus the promethians we already have I think this could be somewhat what the promethians need other than rename them so instead of “promethian hunter” have it be promethian heavy or something of that sorts there’s all kinds of possibilities with this and I think it would give the promethians the diversity in combat they need

Again, that’s not how Composers work. Doesn’t matter what being you Compose, you throw its essence into the one of the pre-manufactured Promethean archetypes. You’ll never see a “Hunter Promethean”.
Plus, why would Jul bother to Compose his own troops, when they are a perfectly capable fighting force on their own? The only reasons to Compose are to fight the Flood or to build your army with conscripts who would otherwise not fight for you (random beings, enemy troops, etc.).
What I’m saying though is he could manufacture new bodies and some how sort the essences and put them into a similar body but only it’s promethian he seemed to think of the Knights as his elite did you ever see elites guarding him besides Merg Vol so I can see him taking his elite troops and turning them promethian.
And as you said the only reason they would need promethians is to fight the flood… Well humanity has to be tested some time there coming back eventually and I feel humanity will unite the galaxy as one to over come this have several species reclaim the mantle this was the forerunners fault everyone needs help some times so if there’s a galactic invasion of flood what’s to say Jul won’t set aside his differences stop the civil war and him and Thel unite the sangelie so he may need a promethian army to fight the flood and he may compose his army hell be like a sane didact in some ways
I think there is a bigger theme going on here: Synthetics versus Organics. It’s a classic sci-fi trope that has appeared multiple times and it’s in play once again in Halo. The Prometheans are a mass, mindless type of enemy built to destroy the Flood who is a mass, mindless type of enemy.
It’s a nice way they play off each other.
What I’m wondering is if the promethians were ever infected by the logic plague.

Yeah I realized this same thing about a week ago. It clicked for me, and I was kind of disappointed by it. The Prometheans are high-tech flood. God help us if they every unite…
The whole point of the Prometheans is to have a force that can combat the Flood. This is because the Prometheans have no organic material that the Flood can harvest and overtake. Unless the Flood is back, there is no reason to create more Prometheans. Also, there aren’t any more Composers and it would be pretty lame of 343i to conveniently have more Composers after having an entire game revolve around destroying one.
