Promethians are weak aginst what?

I have been playing through the campaign on legendary again because I wanted to see how the weapon tuning affected the game. I noticed that the DMR seems to do better against Knights than a scoped in light rifle. I was also surprised to see the assault rifle work better than the suppressor against them. Overall the game seems easier to beat on legendary now with the updated weapons. But I’m still wondering if there are weapons that Knights are weak too. I mean in Halo CE flood forms were weak to shotgun and pistol rounds meaning that those rounds did extra damage to flood when compared to the general damage output experienced by other enemies in the campaign.

The Needler absolutely wreaks Knights on Legendary.

The plasma pistol is your best friends on legendary, the old one-two

Plasma pistol overcharge/headshot - but try and get rid of the little guys and the techno buggers first!

As as cobra said, you needler the needler as it destroys and gives (some) splash damage!

> The Needler absolutely wreaks Knights on Legendary.

Agreed. When there are no needlers around, just use their own weapons against them. I found a suppressor works great to pop the Knights shields and then switch to a precision weapon to finish them off. It isn’t nearly as good as the newb combo vs Elites, but it still works.

As for using an over charged PP on the Knights I have never had any real luck with it.

binary to the head

I didn’t think the weapon changes affected campaign or Spartan ops.

Are you sure?

I remember the TU in Reach didn’t affect campaign.

Can anyone confirm?

The weapon tuning update only affected weapons in War Games. It works by changing options in the gametype. This means that Campaign, Spartan Ops, and the original (“disc-locked”) gametypes are unaffected. The only way to play with the tuned weapons is to play or make changes to a 343i-originating gametype, either from matchmaking or from their file share.

Thanks, that is what I thought too. Good to have confirmation.

Sorry OP but it’s all in your head. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: The weapon tuning did not affect the weapons in Campaign.

I got the needler tip before the game came out but I decided to avoid it hehe.

Seems like you’ve been missing out on some fun.

I’ve used it since but on my first play through…

Vid Deleon gave me the tip.

Exactly that, along with Suppressor (I just want to point out, treat the Suppressor as the Needler, b/c they do excellent damage)

Weapons tuning didn’t affect Campaign or Spartan Ops. Which, to be honest, isn’t that noticeable.
What is noticeable is the difference before and after playing other people online. But when you fight AI opponents, it hardly matters.

A lot of people say Halo 4 on legendary is not hard … I disagree. Now, compared to Combat Evolved on legendary, nothing is hard, but Halo 4 was much harder than ODST & Reach (IMO).

Human weapons tend to dominate in Spartan ops (DMR, Battle rifle) and are much more available than others. Which sucks. would be good if the TU bad affected some stuff there.

How come I have been banned from gaining XP on halo 4?

I forgot to mention, the Scattershot is also best against Promethean Knights, however, be prepared b/c you’ll unfortunately use up some ammo.

Um…my fellow member, wrong area to post. However, perhaps this can assist you: Halo 4 Ban FAQ’s

I have been there, but i can’t find how to ask any questions. So I was wondering if one of you guys knew?

Thanks for the tips guys. As for the weapons being changed, I am sure it was changed across the entire game in halo 4. They mentioned in the updates that they wanted all the weapons to feel the same across the campaign and multiplayer. I guess I could be wrong though. As for the plasma pistol, I wasn’t sure if a single over charged burst actually removed knight’s shields. I know a shot from the Rail gun removes their shields.
