I remember a comment regarding the two colored variants of Prometheans. Now I see the original orange-gold color less and blue a lot more. Is blue replacing the original color or are there two factions of Prometheans sporting different colors? To me it makes sense that these Forerunner entities would glow the typical color we’ve grown used to over the years. But that orange-gold color makes sense with weapons since it’s typical with the energy from sentinel beams.
The new look of later builds or part of more variety in the game? Your thoughts?

Yep, something which I’ve suspected since we saw them first actually.
We know that Cortana’s not controlling them, and they definitely aren’t friendly, not even to the Covenant.
But there’s always the possibility that there’s a whole other reason behind their color.

I’m afraid it is. Seems reasonable to me. It’d be good if the weapons and the energy were blue at night time.

That actually sounds pretty cool to me. Imagine how much harder it may be to play some missions at night that were normally day time missions from past Halo games, and vice versa. The level Nightfall from Reach would be like a frontal assault if done during the day, and not a sneaky night mission

Another reason I think this is because in the recent vidoc you can see a Promeathan Knight on top of MC with it face exposed, just like in the E3 campaign trailer, only his skull face was blue and not red and it was night and not day.
I honestly just think they should all be blue, orange has never really been a distinct forerunner color, and it seems like they just use orange to make them look fierce.
