Come on the simulators are quite obvious so this leads me to believe that the final boss aka the Didactic (don’t know how to spell the name) won’t be a ball but be like a Necron Overlord he’ll look like a knight but with some very different features and with an entirely different weapon.

Urm… The Didact is a Forerunner. We’ve known this since the Halo 3 terminals. The “ball” is a Cryptum, possibly containing him. I’d think that’s fairly obvious, but I guess you haven’t read the books…
