Prometheans in Warzone Firefight

Prometheans in WZF are ridiculously OP. They continuously spawn in, instantaneously making it hard to defend or even get to an objective. There’s no way to actually recap the objective as well so if they’ve gotten halfway or over, you might as well just accept defeat. Proms need to be nerfed with the way they spawn in and how many spawn in and objectives also need the ability to be recaptured.

I agree with you. But I have noticed that in many situations, e.g. in Skirmish at Darkstar when you have to kill 2 hunters behind some barriers on one edge of the map, the enemy keeps dropping in, wave after wave and you can’t get close enough to get to the hunters without getting killed. But if everyone concentrates on them and kill them fast, the next wave will come in, and you do the same. After about 4 or 5 waves, it stops. Then everyone can kill the hunters in time to finish the round and win it. I have seen this pattern of behavior on other maps. Of course, the warden rounds are something else.

They are pretty tough, but it’s mostly just the Knights that really make things hard. Soldiers and crawlers can be splattered which makes things infinitely easier.

Suppressors work well against soldiers and knights.

use kenetic rounds, steal a suppressor, you must group up against knights.
scout hog kills them good

Yea suppressor and bolshots are OP but I recommend using the razor’s Edge and open hand for soldiers and crawlers and for knights and wardens use the high Five rocket launcher in the fight it’s better then SPNKR Prime

Wraiths destroy prometheons big time. You can splatter all but the knights and those usually die from 2-3 mortar shots.

you have to kill all the enemies first, they will drop a couple of times but once dead they don’t drop anymore and you can go after the hunters.

I guess you like repeating what others say.

Can only agree with the saif above.

Been talked about plenty of times. Use their weapons against them or easily Splatter them.

For Knights, I have a lot of luck with the BR with Stabilization Jets (Sentinel Sights if you have it, as well as Patrol Case since it’s level 5). Shoot the glowing rings on their sides to eventually knock off their side armor. It helps the team land more hits, especially if you can get around to their backs and aim for the glowing spot (similar to the Warden). There’s a few like Urban where they stand out front of the big base at which point I’ll just hang inside the central base and shoot out the door facing them and just aim for their face. After a few hundred shots, they drop. I’ve gotten through that one practically solo while my teammates were trying to fight their way through the Soldiers.

For Soldiers and Crawlers, nothing beats a Ghost. Just make sure to drive off enough distance before you turn around and recharge shields and the “turbo” boost. I see too many players get shot off as they turn too soon or worst, stop and attempt to spin around in place. And, of course, watch out for the ones with Splinter Turrets. They can be run over, it’s just a little tricky as they can wreck your ride quickly.

The only Promethean round I have a regular issue with is Defend the Garage on Escape from A.R.C. But that’s because half the team calls in vehicles and sits outside and noobs get repeatedly killed trying to fight their way in instead of just sprinting in, tossing grenades and heading up stairs. Well that and Wardens when there aren’t enough Tanks or Wraiths on the field.

They just take some practice. They are actually quite easy. I may have a different perspective since I’ve beaten all of the Halo games on legendary multiple times each over my long Halo gaming past.

If if you are at the start of a game, you can spawn in the level 1 req scout Warthog and run them over.

Pistols and BR’s are one shot kills to the head on the little promethians.

Knights, just blow off their armor by shooting the orange glowing vents and shooting their back.

Soldiers can either be spammed with AR or Promethian weapons until you can 1HKO with a BR or pistol.

If covenant drop in first before prometheans, grab a plasma pistol or storm rifle. Plasma pistol noob combo still works against both soldiers and knights. Storm rifle shreds their armor quickly and opens up the short window where you can 1HKO them.

If if you are playing as a team, coordinate and focus fire one enemy at a time. Basically the knight or soldier will Ben melted instantly if spammed by 3+ people at once.

Grenades are your friend. Just try to actually have them land on the enemy. Also make a habit of scouting an area you just cleared of AI. Pick up the Forerunner grenades or plasma grenades as the AI will frequently drop them.

Also, once you get to REQ6, spartan laser > all. It has ridiculously high stopping power, even against bosses. A great strategy is to spawn in a vehicle and farm points on infinite spawn enemies until you req up, then go help take the boss(s) down with your team so you don’t fail the firefight mission. Once you’ve req’d up, grab a spartan laser and keep driving your vehicle. If and when your vehicle is toast, hop out and switch to the laser. This combo should last you up to wave 5 easily.

Don’t forget assasination is an option, even on knights.
