I don’t think anything unique at all, I mean look at the binary rile, it looks so ugly and dull.all of the weapons look like concept or work in progress weapons , no character what so ever…
Also I think it’s cool how to soliders faze , but why doesn’t the Knights like they did in halo 4 ? I find it so lazy how they spawn in the middle of the battle field …

With the current state of how powerful Knights are (not complaining I like it) that would be ridiculous if they did.
I agree to a degree, I like the art design for them, however fighting them isn’t fun in my opinion and I cannot exactly pinpoint why that is.
I just don’t connect with them as an enemy. They arent really an established threat. There isn’t an explanation of how they get to different planets, they just sort of show up. This could be fun if they were a feared force in the Halo universe, but they arent. Nobody is particularly concerned with them, whereas the flood was absolutely feared by every faction in the game. The covenant went running scared, they were the reason for the creation of the halo rings. The most advanced race that humanity has encountered (in person or through their technological remains) literally decided that mutual annihilation was the best solution possible. The prometheans have no background, they arent that scary, they are just another faction, but with no motivation. Why do the prometheans want to kill everything. It made sense in Halo 4 when they were defending Requiem against the covenant, but then they joined forces when given proper leadership. The flood had their own motivations, a detailed backstory, and a semi-competent leader. The covenant also had these traits. These factions also had a very clear advantage over the human faction, the flood being the ability to grow with its enemy’s defeat, and the covenants technological superiority. Prometheans teleport.
There is also no evidence of attacks on ships by promethean forces (aside from the infinity near requiem) in the canon, as far as I am aware. Both the flood and covenant did this (leading to one of my favorite short stories the mona lisa)
I know it wasn’t the flood attacking that ship. The prometheans don’t. This further supports my claim that the prometheans are not a real threat.
How about we take everything Promethean in Halo and put it somewhere else!
Prometheans should look more like Forerunner style, look at Sentinels for example or their structures.
In Halo 5 the mechanics like Knight having armour was nice addition, but why not Promethean land vehicles and more variety like an army compared to Covenant or UNSC. They have more vehicles, troops carry out specific roles, they got dropships, actual ranks, military code etc.
I really love the knights in Halo 5: they have variation and sport weaknesses, almost like mini-bosses. Soldiers, on the other hand, are probably the worst type of enemy I’ve ever faced in the 343 games. They lack personality, have very little health, are poorly designed, and cheekily teleport everywhere. No fun to fight them at all.
You’re lazy and lifeless.
OOOOOHHHHHH!!!
Forgive me, I couldn’t help it.
Yeah, the colour pallet is so bland and generic “robot”
The Promethean weapons all share a fairly close look of “complex angular gray thing with a floaty bit and a distinct glowy color.” Suppressors glow pale yellow, lightrifles glow golden, binary rifles glow a sunset orange, boltshots glow a brighter orange, and incineration cannons are a red. It’s not the most unique set of designs. That said, I can readily identify every one of them from a distance, so they technically do their job.
As for “Prometheans should look like Forerunner stuff,” I personally quite like that Promethean stuff doesn’t look like what we’ve seen before. Look at all the Forerunner stuff across the games, and you’ll see a lot of different architectural, artistic and technological sensibilities – like in the real world, with humanity. The Forerunners spanned a galaxy, and thrived for millions of years. We with our 10,000 years of civilization have hundreds of different extant cultures, and hundreds and hundreds of examples of pre-existing ones that still stand today to remind us of their legacy. The Promethean faction is just the Didact’s particular Warrior-Servant set of designs and aesthetics. The Sentinels more represent the work of the Ecumene Council, I imagine; a group of Builders. The Didact wanted soldiers that were versatile and capable, the Ecumene Council wanted efficient, simple and effective drones.

Not in warzone firefight
I agree with you OP, I like the Promethean weapons but they don’t look particularly ‘Forerunner.’ Especially the variants with the paint jobs, they don’t feel at all like the ancient relics that they are.
Weapons I disagree. Forerunner guns are some of the coolest in halo, how they destruct and construct around your hands. Awesome.
The enemy’s on the other hand need changing.
Crawlers should almost flow through the battlefield, clinging to rock faces and skittering from one place to another. I see 343 idea but crawlers AI need serous work for 6.
Soldiers need a serious rethink. I like the teleport system they have now, its a good challenge and unlike H4 knights you can track them to finish them off. But the soldiers weak points need to be better displayed, I’m still not sure where to shoot them today.
Knights are perfect mini bosses, shredding the armour before popping a well aimed shot into their face is supremely satisfying. But they need more variation, perhaps give the higher level knights the H4 teleport ability. I don’t know but just something to provide a different experience when fighting special knights.
Watchers are cool but their AI needs to prioritise support and not shooting the players.

Yeah I agree, where are all the sentinels and stuff?

Constructors and Watchers are technically Sentinel variations.

Hmmm, I like their design better, lifeless but deadly
