Promethean weapons made to be dominant?

As far as I can see…the Promethean class weaponry is really outclassing and outpowering all of the other weapons, both human and covenant. They basically have the same function as their counterparts (ie, BR&DMR=LR, AR=Suppressor, Magum+Shotgun=Boltshot) plus an added optional dual firing mode. Binary Rifle is a one shot kill, making it a little bit more deadly than the Sniper Rifle or Beam Rifle. The Incineration Cannon does the job of a Rocket Launcher, just a tad weaker, but with more coverage for damage.

The trade-off for me it seems, or the way 343 is trying to balance these weapons, is by ammo. Almost all of these weapons start with very little ammo with the exception of the Suppressor.

I feel like the battlefields will be filled with LR shots across the map, once people have mastered how to use it…

Yeah, you’re right. Prome weps are a little over the top…

…but let’s be honest here. Of all the factions, Prometheans are tawp dawg when it comes down to technology. Of course they get the best weapons.

I mean, it fits in well and makes perfect sense. Their technology is above ours and the covenant. But like I said, what hinders Promethean weapons is their durability. They all have small clips or take a second longer to reload D;

So I think it’s safe to say that UNSC weapons and Covie weapons aren’t out of the fight ;D

Well u can only have 3 of em on loadouts the light rifle bolt shot suppressor and pulse grenade, the scatter shot incineration cannon binary rifle are power weapons so of course those 3 are powerful the smg doesnt look to powerful it takes about half to nearly a whole clip at close range and the bolt shot is good but only intimidating in the hands of some one who has deadly great accuracy. Light rifle does seem more powerful then the dmr br carbine prob the best weapon out of those guns

Almost all of them are map pick-ups/ordinance drops, so I doubt they’ll be frequent enough to be OP.

True. But small clips are going to hinder someones effectiveness if they don’t know how to use whatever promethean weapon they have. The human & covie weapons will hold their own because we know how to use them effectively unlike the new promethean weapons, that will take some trial & error.

I have to disagree. Until we actually get to play the game, it will be hard to tell. The LR is supposed to have decreased accuracy from the hip and slower firing rate while scoped to balance it. So I think we should just wait and see.

I think it’s perfectly balanced

AR,SR>supressor. Supressor looks very weak tbh. I think it’s the weakest wep in the game. They should have gave it a special ability like ricocheting bullets or somethin

LR, at first I thought it was 6sk unscoped 4sk scope making it balanced but its 5sk and 4sk this is alittle unfair, it should be like I thought.

shotguns, human one is more powerful I heard but the scatter shot can ricochet and go farther I think. Balanced

snipers, human and covy are the same except covie don’t need to worry bout reloading just overheating and the human one can spam 4 shots faster so it’s balanced. The promethean sniper is 1sk but only 2 shots in clip making it balanced. It’s a bad gun if someone gets close to you.

pistols, human is good at close and med, a solid weapon to have. Plasma pistol is not powerful but if you overcharge it you drain a whol shot in 1 shot and disable a vehicle. Bolt shot fully charged gives a shotgun-like shot but it’s only good at close range

the rocket launcher-like weapons are even as well

I honestly just feel sorry for anyone on the opposing team if I get my hands on that Binary Rifle… lol

Aside form the power-weapons promethean weapons should take more skill.

I think the Promethean weapons are meant to be the “best of both worlds”.

Boltshot- magnum, and plasma pistol

Light rifle- dmr and br

Suppressor-… Assault rifle and smg?
