Promethean Weapon Ideas

Does anybody think that it would be a good idea to design a Promethean weapon that allows you to see and shoot through walls with a charged shots WHILE SCOPED or maybe a LR that allows you to do this with charged shots. It could be a power weapon.

If anyone has other weapon ideas, then pleas tell me.

Eh, too unbalanced for multiplayer. 343 has enough balance issues. As a campaign only weapon though, that would be awesome!

I rather weapons have realistic penetration through certain objects.

People are camping enough as it is. Unless you’re trying to make a segment of the community completely revert to swaddled infants torn from mom then sure. You’d have to have some sort of counter like a early warning system letting you know you were about to be pinged by this thing. You’d have to implement Armor Lock to counter it.

Really though I’d rather living promethean Vehicles over another Promo skin of a overpowered UNSC Sniper Rifle.

Lightlauncher: shoots walls of hard light that do little damage but can’t be shot through and push enemies away from you for a short distance. More of a defensive weapon. It could also be a charge fire weapon like the plasma pistol that doesn’t fire until you release the trigger. While holding the trigger it could work similarly to the hard light shield. If you just tap the trigger it could be similar to the primary fire of the Boltshot.

Radiator: could temporality charge a surface with hard light. So you could fire it on the ground in front of a charging enemy and they would be significantly hurt by touching the charged surface. Similarly you could fire it at a wall that someone is camping behind and they would be forced to move away from it to avoid injury.

The names are bad, but whatevs.

I am hoping that it could fit in to halo 5 multiplayer. Maybe you could only see through an area that the scope is focused on while also requiring shots to be charged to pierce walls, meaning that a four shot kill through a wall would rarely happen, but people would be forced not to camp in areas all the time. i do not really think that it would be a problem since everyone would be constantly moving.

I just see it as a way to combine to things together. The main things that make camping popular are: no descope, camo, stick detonator, and pv. I hope descope will be back by then

Force Gun
Boltshot Alternative. Pushes players and vehicles, is a two shot kill, slower firing speed than shotgun, same effective range. Can be fired instantly for 5 ammo and moderate push, or can be charged up for stronger pushes at the cost of more ammo. Secondary loadout weapon.

Projector
Gun acts the same as Hardlight Shield but also damages anything it touches. Secondary loadout weapon.

Beam Weapon
Sentinel Beam with less damage and a small scope. Primary loadout weapon.

Hardlight Weapon
Fires a single non-solid projectile that leaves a trail of light. When the trigger is released, the light solidifies, potentially impaling anything within the projectile’s path. Gives new meaning to the term “hard-light”. Power weapon or primary loadout weapon, depending on damage.

Why is no one else posting ideas?

I think a gun could work that was able to shoot through walls, but it should only be able to shoot through one wall, not multiple and I think being able to see through the wall might be a little OP. if it is indeed with a certain firing mode like the scoped lightrifle maybe when ever you fire a shot in that mode it would automatically deactivate and AA like JP or PV. That way you could use PV to get your one shot but not continuously fire while being able to see through the wall.

People already complain about an AA that does absolutely nothing but give you an advanced Motion Sensor. I think if a weapon could shoot through walls, it would make them rage.

Yeah that’s the less obnoxious version of what I said. But I’m not against it I just suggested some counters to keep people from becoming aggravated.

Promethean Melee - Mid range teleporting assassination that charges like a yellow Spartan Laser

Shield Rifle: When launched, creates a shield about 2x the size of the HL shields. Kills anything where it lands. Shield lasts for 15 secs, but can be shot to reduce health.

Beacon launcher(maybe not Promethean):

functions similarly to the sticky detonator, but instead of exploding it activates a waypoint for you any your teammates. Could use it to mark the gauss hog on exile for example. Another feature that could be interesting is if it also increase bullet magnetism towards the target it was attached to for certain weapons.

Focal Point. A weapon that shoots a projectile that warps in from another direction using their teleportation ability.

Fractal Razor. A weapon that suspends or slows the motion of other projectiles being fired in it’s direction and send them hurling in a chaotic firestorm in any direction save the holder of the Razor.

Brunt. A massive Howitzer type weapon that requires two players to use one to move and the other to spot. Act as a anti vehicle device.

Vitrol Mace. Half Melee and Half AA this weapon allows the player to charge up a powerful dash animation that ends in crushing the opponent against a wall or sending them flying in open spaces.

Kill ball cannon.

single use. Lobs a small killball like the wraith fires. Kills on contact and maintains in a location for a while before ending in a secondary explosion. Basically a giant awesome pulse grenade x10.

The Guardians Approve.

Teleportation cannon:

Shoots a blue beam of light that instead of killing, warps them to a random spawn point with their current equipment. Useful for defending bases in Dominion or sites in Extraction. Betrayals do not count as kills, but enemy teleportations do.
