Promethean Vision, Like it or Hate it

Me personally I not to sure if I like the Promethean Vision. When I saw the gameplay of all the MLG players playing a game of Infinity slayer, it seemed that they were using it too much and it was quite annoying.

I don’t even have the game so i’m not trying to penealize the armor ability at all. Its just seems to be too much of a nuisance to me.

But thats just me though, what do you guys think?

I thought it looked pretty good, maybe it shouldn’t last quite as long though.

I don’t care either way.

They need to chill out the damn range.

Through-wall-cross-map-sighting is unacceptable…

they were probably using it because they wern’t so familar with the maps they played on. theres a game (shadow run i think?) that had a simalar ability. But in competitive games it wasn’t used as often because there were other abilities that were more helpful more often.

personally i like it. we will probably see alot of it in the begining. but when others get used to other AA’s it will die down. I see it nothing more other then a camo and camper counter. if you can read the radar pretty well you won’t really need PV.

and theres plenty of downsides (maybe more according to the dev com from MLG) in the final build.

It’s already as hated as Armor Lock.

They did that on purpose, to show how easy it is going to be to abuse it. It is very easy to use, and it will only hurt the game in my opinion. There needs to be a longer time period before it recharges and you can use it again, otherwise, it will just be ridiculous. It will only make the game more and more “noobish”

At least it doesn’t interrupt battles which is the most annoying thing from any AA’s

I tink itz prety c00l gai, it seez tru wals and doesnt fraid of anyting

A little of both. In principle I don’t really like it because I feel it’s a bit OP. in practice I’m sure I’ll find it useful so that I don’t get taken off guard by people who like to camp around corners. Only time will tell.

It’s a terrible game mechanic. I sincerely hope it remains in the Team Training playlists of Halo 4.

that sounds like your own opinion. wich is not fact. were you there? no. so you can’t say they were showing to abuse. it makes more sense that they used it because they didn’t know the map well or how it would flow. if you can read a radar you don’t need PV and having PV won’t make you more aware then other players if there decent with the game.

the draw backs of PV are: limited range, high ringing noise that can be heard by anyone, your FOV is visibile to other players, it drains fast and its reacharge is slow ish. (it seemed fast because most of the people used AA efficency.) and there could be more in the final build.

all PV will be to an expirenced player is a counter for camo and campers. i forget who said it but they said PV was basically for people who arn’t really aware of whats going on around them. more or less to help people that arn’t very situationally aware. wich is what every single MLG player was when they played. they had no idea on any of the maps how anything would go down. wich is why PV seemed so good.

I agree with that, It’ll just make the game more noobish and I had a hard time seeing when they put it on.

I like the look of it. It doesn’t really seem OP to me because you should already be aware of the players that are close enough to ‘see’ with it. Players that are far away don’t really pose any significant threat.

Another poster suggested balancing it by only given you a frozen image of a player, not their constant movement. I think that’s a good idea.

Of course the “MLG” players were spamming it…

I still think it might be useful for Campaign or Spartan Ops, but not Multiplayer.
