Promethean vision is fine

the reason’s behind this are

  1. It’s balanced

  2. The longer you use it, the more blurry the objects become

  3. You can’t see all the way across the map, only what’s close to you

  4. There is a loud beeping noise when it’s on (that the people around you can hear) that tells people that you are using it (so if you’re close enough to see an enemy, chances are they can hear you)

  5. It doesn’t last that long, it last from 3-5 seconds

  6. when you use it, there is a red beam that comes out of the helmet. So if someone is far enough away to not hear the beeping, they can see the laser coming out of your helmet.

  7. It helps spot campers who camp in bases during CTF or something, etc, etc.

It’s balanced, it’s not “overpowered” it’s fine

and there is still room for improvement. the game hasn’t gone gold yet

> 1) It’s balanced

So calling it balanced, without proof, is a reason it is fine?

read everything underneath, it explains why

No, it’s not balanced in it’s current form. It lets you see people from all over the map.

Sure it doesn’t last very long but long enough to do some major damage and it was quite overused by the pros at E3. That’s like the Jetpack in many ways. Without it, you are shooting you’re self in the foot and we Don’t want an AA that voids using the other AAs. i hope 343 will tweak it have shorter range and/or have the wave take longer to pulse through the map.

No point in having choice when you gain such an advantage as seeing through walls. Why trick with holos, evade with T packs or slow to a crawl with Hardlight when you can just see everything with a click of a button? Remember, Sprint isn’t separate ability; it’s inherent to each and every Spartan now.

Right now, it’s the Z-5080 Long-Range Spectrum Augmenter/Vision/god tier AA.

just because it “feels” overpowered doesn’t mean it is.

and i never said once that halo 4 will be perfect. there are not perfect games, every game has some sort of glitch to it.

It’s balanced, it’s not overpowered even though it feels like it. if you read the rest of the post instead of the title of the post.

Well I haven’t played it yet but from what I have seen it could use a range reduction. Not a humongous one but I think seeing maybe slightly more that half of your radar would suffice.

Then again I haven’t barely seen the other AA so I can’t really say what’s OP and what isn’t lol

This is one of the worst arguments I’ve seen.

“It’s balanced.”

There’s a reason everybody used it in the demos. It’s overpowered.

To make it simple for you, it has no drawbacks. Nobody was killed because they used PV . . .
It gives a HUGE advantage with NO disadvantages.

it is, maybe just shorten the range of view a little. it’s not like you can use it for an infinite amount of time

Ok so you’re saying that it’s not OP on paper, but if you play it, it is OP. Just to be clear here.

It looks fine to me, and honestly I think it gets stupid when everyone says “so’n’so who played the game said its OP, because you know they couldn’t be bias or mad because they got killed by someone using it”

To me, it looks like an anti-camper tool, and looks helpful when dealing with someone who is using a shotty or sword (I use both allot). Its not going to keep you from being snipped and it doesn’t make you any better then the player beside you, you still have to kill the person, unless I missed something it doesn’t give you more ammo or more shield, just a few more seconds then the other person, but this is halo, we have shields to give us time to react to people shooting at us. Don’t hate on the idea till you use it for yourself.

It doesn’t matter how long it lasts as you see the entire map and the enemy team on it. There is no range nerf and this allows players to call out without really having to try. While it doesn’t last very long (with a somewhat lengthy cool down period), the advantages you gain over using the other AAs will become quite apparent if it’s not nerfed. Also, no other AA we’ve seen so far is a foil to it. I hope in the final this is changed with a nerf to it’s range.

Even Naked Eli (who is NOT an MLG pro) released a video saying how overpowered the Pro Vision is right now.

If PV had the same range as the motion sensor I think it would be fine. It still gives you more information but not to much more. Maybe 2-5 more meters then that.

the game hasn’t come out yet, it may change. It lasts for a very short time, it’s not like the jet pack in halo reach where it lasts a long time

He said himself that he used it the most simply because it was so OP. He was judging it on HIS OWN EXPERIENCES USING IT, AKA, not biased.

And since it is your side’s favorite arguement that “If you haven’t played the game, you don’t know anything about it,” I think you guys should have to deal with this crap for once. You can dish it out, but you can’t take it.

Just being clear again, you just said it’s fine but now you’re saying that it’s going to change, meaning you think it isn’t completely balnced right now.

You just love to contradict yourself, don’t you?

wtf? someone piss in your coffee today?

sounds like you can’t deal with it when someone goes against your own opinoin

back to the OP, even if the range isn’t fixed, you can’t use it for a very long time and the images that come out are blurry. It’s finee

OP has officially imploded.
Or spontaneously combusted.

“I’m just here o argue it hour a valid opinion of my own. I’ll just repeat what everyone else has been saying, and maybe for the first time the argument will work!”

Hint: it hasn’t . . .

I’m just gonna quote a couple of post of mine from another thread. Honestly, I feel like people didn’t look the MLG gameplay videos closely enough.

> Am I the only one who noticed that in one of the Promethean Vision usage (I believe it was from Elamite(?) on Adrift) that it didn’t register the enemies location in his first usage?
> I don’t remember correctly but I did notice it; gonna have to double check. Does this mean that Promethean Vision has a limited range of effectiveness?
>
> EDIT: Here it is around 0.17-0.30

> It may seem that with Promethean Vision you can see players from the other side of the map, but it is because they were within the radius of the AA’s effective range. The video I quoted even shows this to be the case. The first and second use of the AA didn’t registered where the enemy was. If anything, this means that Promethean Vision isn’t as overpowered as people are making it up to be.
>
> NOTE: I just re-watched the video again and I noticed there were several occasions that the AA’s didn’t registered at all when activated to its full extent. Which further proves that Promethean Vision does have a limited effective range.

Personally, I don’t think Promethean Vision is that much overpowered as people are making it to be. However, I can’t ignore the fact admit that it can be a bit overused.
From what I looked at the Adrift gameplay, Promethean Vision didn’t registered the enemies location at the first or second use at the beginning of the video. IMO, this proves that Promethean Vision doesn’t allow you to see the whole map and has a limited effective range.
Though I can’t say the same about the Haven gameplay. It seems that the map its small enough for Promethean Vision to let you see the all the enemies on the field. What needs to be nerfed is the effective range of the Armor Ability. If they can reduce the radius for registering enemies to somewhere around short and mid-range, I think it will still let you see players corner-camping enough so the PV user can come up with a way of taking down his opponent.

I didn’t say that it IS going to change, i said it may. the game hasn’t gone gold yet so it may change
