Has there been any information on new vehicles? Will they be Promethean, Human, or Covenant?
Will we be seeing old vehicles? Like the Spectre? Elephant?

The 2 new vehicles are likely the Mammoth or that new mech.
As for old vehicles I hope we can have most of them back.
While it wouldn’t make much sense canon-wise, I would love to see some Forerunner vehicles, or at least a Forerunner enemy that fills the role of a vehicle. Think Hunter, but bigger and meaner.
Not until the older ones get a tune up. Preferably Covie vehicles.
Banshee is the most distinct from the other pilotable Covie vehicles since it has flip and a secondary projectile. In Reach, the fuel rod has homing feature (in H3, the enemy AI had it). In CE and ODST, it had hover. It has no real UNSC counterpart.
Wraith
Only major distinction from Scorpion: fires in arc
Pre-H3: had auto-turrets
Revenant is just a mini-Wraith that’s faster.
Ghost
Only major distinction from Hog: can fire while driving
Pre-H2: had a big hover height
Chopper
Only major distinction from Ghost: better maneuverability
Spectre
Only major distinction from Hog: better traction
Prowler
Only distinction from Spectre: better stability; does not flip easily. No boost.
Covie vehicles ought to have special features, not merely small differences.
Why is there nothing suitable for stealth?
Or possessing overall balance (like the CE hog, which had decent physics: traction, stability, and maneuverability)?
Generic war machines are just boring. I didn’t like vehicle combat outside of CE.
The Mammoth most likely isn’t one of those two “new” vehicles since it’s just a rehash of the Elephant.
I believe there will probably be some big Promethean in place of a vehicle, like a Promethean Hunter sort of thing.
I believe the 2 new vehicles are the Mammoth and that mech.
A new Covie vehicle would be nice, the Revenant was just a mini-Wraith that I found splattering was more efficient than using the main cannon sometimes.

Vehicles don’t have to have an equivalent, I like how the UNSC doesn’t have a straight up equivalent of the Banshee.
Wraith’s also have boost, so they are faster then Scorpions.
The Revenant’s mortar is more effective at flipping vehicles than killing them.
Ghost also have boost, so they can splatter much easier.
Choppers can destroy other vehicles when hitting them head on, Ghost does the opposite. The Choppers bullets are also more effective at flipping vehicles, as well as killing them.
The Spectre has a turret that loses a lot of accuracy at long ranges. It also can carry an extra passenger, which can help in a lot of situations. It also has boost and can strafe at nearly full speed.
The Prowler can’t strafe like the Spectre, but other than that it’s pretty much a Brute Spectre. Nothing wrong with that.
I like the Covenant vehicles right now, they are different enough and each are effective in different situations.

That’s what I was trying to say. Vehicle equivalents are just disappointing. I don’t want Halo to be making clones like H2/H3 tried to do.
No, Wraiths are not faster than Scorpions. Slow turning speed. The Reach scorpion is also capable of splattering and has a better rof.
Last I checked, vehicles were meant to kill, not flip.
If the Ghost’s wings come in contact with an object, the splatter attempt is ruined. Also, the hog was nerfed so it would be as fast as a boosting Ghost at max speed.
Good point about the Chopper.
That’s still not very distinct. The Spectre is still an interesting vehicle nonetheless but it’s not as great as it should have been.
So there’s nothing wrong with the brute shot, the brute spiker, the brute mauler, the brute plasma rifle? The Brute spike grenade was more distinct than the above…
If you mean H4, yeah I guess they’re ok. But if you mean Reach, H3, or H2, then I disagree. Also, it is my opinion that boost is essentially the same as dual wielding. Vehicle speed got nerfed because of it.
can we just have all vehicles previously in a Halo and a new ones I believe I saw a APC in one of the trailers it was 6-8 wheeled truck not sure if thats this spectre/prowler we have been talking about?

The Cyclops has been confirmed to not be driveable, if that’s what you meant.

There’s another mech that has only been seen in the campaign so far, and confirmed to be drivable.

That doesn’t confirm that it’s driveable.

Master Chief is shown getting in the vehicle, I’m pretty sure that that confirms it.

It could be a cutscene for all we know.

Either way Master Chief gets it, and it’s seen shooting in another video. Both may be cutscenes, but why only let us drive something like that in cutscenes?

I don’t know, but you can’t say that it’s confirmed until we actually see gameplay of it. It’s still speculation.
Prometheans don’t use vehicles because they have no use for them.
