A lot of people say that a Promethean Vehicle wont work as they can already jump across the play space, so what is the point?
Well what if the Vehicle was a Promethean?
Lets just call it the Tank for now.
So imagine a Wraith, but the size of a Ghost and looks a bit more Prometheany.
As an enemy, the rear mounted turret fires Incineration cannon rounds, but also has a Supressor at the front, and a Promethean blade arm on each side.
The Tank moves at the same speed as a ghost when not boosting, but if you get close, it can charge at you, like the Wraith can.
To kill it, you can either shoot it until it blows up, or if you can get close enough, you can mount it on the front or back and rip out its ‘soul’.
If you do this, you can then use it as a vehicle.
The standard mode for the Tank is 1 occupant. It moves slow and has a limited boost, but you have access to both the cannon and the supressor. However the weapons only fire in the direction you face, and it has a similar turning speed to the Wraith.
[A to boost, triggers for each weapon]
If you click the right thumb stick, the Tank goes in to sprint mode. The cannon and the supressor both retract in to the Tank, so you cant use them, and allowing a passenger to ride on the back. In this mode, using the Left trigger will boost you like a Ghost for greater distances and splatter potential.
Toggling back to Tank mode will force the passenger off, and will take the same time it takes to reload, to switch.
When the player jumps out, the cabin cover splits up in to several pieces that hang in the air and then return again, like the Promethean weapons do when you reload.
Boarding from the back will allow you to plant a grenade, and when detonated the Tank will collapse in to segmented parts.
I figured that combining the 2 types of vehicles in to one was in keeping with the Promethean style, as the Light rifle is the DMR and BR combined, and the Boltshot is basically a pistol and a shotgun in one.
