it could also be a promethean repeater. Thats what it is to be under specs

I think the Elite may have died from Prom. Sniper.
It wouldn’t make sense to have 2 splaser-esque weapons.
I don’t believe it is a repeater because it was only 1 shot that had fired. Also I don’t think it is the new sniper because if you look the Elite’s shields were not down and it hit him in the foot. It also made a noise that I don;t really think would be a sniper. Instead it made a sort of laser noise. Also if you look the trail of light seems to stay there for a second longer while a sniper its gone really quick.
Hope the SL or any other versions of it doesn’t return for multiplayer. It pretty much ruined vehicle combat.

It supposedly has half the charge time and is an instant kill on infantry, but does little damage to vehicles and has no scope). Why would a Promethean be using a Railgun. You just made me lol.

The railgun is a UNSC weapon and I am pretty sure the blue orb thing left there was a Promethean knight teleporting away. Also Isn’t that a little big to be a pistol? Also I believe it isn’t a sniper because 1.) it sounded more like a laser 2.) Beam of light was there for a second unlike a sniper which disappears really quick.

SL didn’t ruin vehicle combat in Halo 3. I didn’t hear anyone complain about it in 3 or Reach. The only complaint about it in Reach was that it wasn’t as great as Halo 3 SL nor did it have as many shots.
Impossible. There are no promethean Spartans.

I don’t remember the railgun ever being said to be a part of the UNSC arsenal. In fact, It looks very forerunner in design from the concept art we have seen.
And no, I don’t think its too big, as we have yet to see it in comparison to other weapons, nor have we seen in in use at all, and its by far the smallest forerunner weapon to be seen.
As for sniper, its a band new sniper. Perhaps the trail sticks a bit longer? perhaps the sound is high in resonance? We couldn’t know as of yet, as we haven’t played it yet.

I think it is the Scoped power shot of the Light rifle. Since immediately after the elite is destroyed Chief faces a Promethean Knight and obtains the Light Rifle. IMO

I don’t think that it is the Light Rifle because if you skip to around 5:54 they shot with it scoped and it still makes a different noise than the weapon at 3:50. It also seems as though the 3:50 one last longer instead of a quick burst of fire.

Although I do agree the 3:50 blast is slightly longer than the 5:54 scoped blast, I think the noise is the same. Also I still think it’s the Light rifle, but we will find out once the game is released.
