So far, it looks like the Knight. They seem to have been relegated to a heavier role with Soldiers taking their place as the main army backbone.

I sure the Knight would have a important role then the Soldiers.
It looks like lowest ranking knight is stronger than lowest ranking soldier. We don’t know much about higher ranking soldiers though.
It looks like the soldier is a character that is between the difficulty of a crawler (very easy even on legendary when there are a dozen of them) and a Knight (difficult without a power weapon, very difficult if there are more than 2 or so.) So yeah, the soldier loses.
I think the fact that Soldiers are completely manufactured, while Knights require a composed organism (so far we know both humans and Forerunners can inhabit a Knight), makes the Knights more inherently valuable, and they seem to be more scary as well.

I think the higher ranking soldiers are stronger because in the halo 5 Locke campaign trailer that promethean soldier warrior just took out the Locke squad in one blow with a sword.

That was not a regular Soldier, though. Soldiers are manufactured, while the enemy you’re referring to, the Warden Eternal, seems to be much more sentient.
The Knights.

Oh well. He seem to be stronger then the didact.
I think they Knights would be better. They are more bulker and can do more stuff. Plus they don’t threaten you as much, all you need to focus on is shooting them.
Soldiers need to be very fast i tnink to challange you with speed like real gamers in multiplayer.
E3 demo was on easy difficulty i sure so shows nothing at all
Knights seem to have moved to a sort of Hunter role, whereas Soldiers are playing the Elite role

How do you figure? He hit Locke with a sword and then used his telekinesis ability to pick him up. The Warden Eternal for all we know is one of many and is in no way superior to the Didact, but simply have different fighting styles and equipment at their disposal.
Armigers, the other name for the Promethean Soldier, is another word for a knight’s squire. They’re definitely meant to be lesser units, presumably as the knights shift into a heavier role.
That said, I much prefer the look and feel of the Soldier.

How do you figure? The Didact wrecked 2 teams of spartan IIs with his bare hands.
id imagine the knights are mini bosses now with the soliders filling in the role the knight had in 4.
my question is how do they compair to the covenant?

I know this is a little nit-picky, but I’m pretty sure his power is just manipulating magnetism, just like the Diadact. Either way, it’s rooted in real science (or at least “understood science”).

Rightio mate. You never know, though. The Forerunners might have figured out a way to use some other form of telekinesis. I’m not nearly as into Halo lore as I was a few years ago, however, so I’ll take your word for it.
