Pros:

6-shots
ODST VISR style where it marks the enemy with red.

Cons:

Leave a trail leading back to the user. Like the typical Halo snipers.
Overheat like the Beam rifle from Halo 2/3

con:less damage than UNSC sniper

well it depends it might be cool lookin but if it doesnt kill the person im shooting then ill say screw it and not use it but 2 or 3 shot kill i can live with but 4 or 5 no way im gonna use it unless the reason its taking so long im tryin to kill a high ranked elite or somthing i dont care about th e damage then

Uh, no. If it is to act like the Beam Rifle, then it will do as much damage as a Sniper Rifle.

ya i tried the exact same thing on spire, and all it did was piss him off

This tends to be the answer for a lot of non UNSC weapons Fuel Rod vs Rocket,
Beam Rifle vs Sniper, Concussion Rifle vs Grenade Launcher.
