Would anyone have interest in this being an area type if it rolled out as a temporary playlist? Since they had a Covenant Slayer type a few weeks back I would imagine this concept may have been thrown around. Since the Promethean weapon commendations are what I seem to be lacking in most, I would definitely have interest just for weapon commendations.
I figure regular team slayer with start weapons being boltshots and suppressors, normal pickups of lightrifles and scattershots, and the power weapon stations vary depending on the map type between incineration cannons/binary rifles. They may also throw in the REQ variants in on some levels just to add a change of pace.
Does anyone else think this would work as a gametype? Like I said, I really hope this would become a thing even if it is only for a week.

As you said, they already did Covenant Slayer so this wouldn’t hurt for a week.

To be honest, yes, that would be part of it, it was basically the main reason I played the Covenant Slayer list when it was out. I rarely find myself using Promethean weapons in regular matches of arena, and I usually end up wasting a REQ by only getting a kill or two in Warzone. People praised the Covenant version, so I thought why not give the Promethean the same?
I was considering asking the same thing some time ago, but the Promethean weapons don’t really seem to fit starting weapons like the Covenant do.
Suppressor + LightRifle starts don’t seem right due to the LightRifle’s power.
Suppressor + Boltshot starts don’t seem right due to the Boltshot’s fairly short range and slow projectile travel.
Maybe, I wouldn’t mind it if they brought it in.

Yeah, its pretty easy. Just use their variants un WZ and they’ll help get em done

Could work. Ideally light rifles would be very scarce, as the only hitscan pop-pop option in the roster – otherwise, they’d be the go-to weapon for getting everything done, and rightfully so. I would prefer suppressors and bolt shots to dominate the field, with the scattershot, light rifle, binary rifle and incinerator cannon all as power weapons.
And of course, oodles of delicious, tactical splinter grenades. Love me those things.
Well definitely would be useful for my boltshot and suppressor commendations but with those starts I find the game would be rather slow paced.
