Ok well we now know of anoter new weapon, this one appearing to be able to throw flames or bursts of flames at people.
Now I’m going to go out on a limb here. Since the Prometheans were made to combat/kill the flood, they use weapons that incinerate things. So this weapon is not a flamethrower however, but an Incinerator. So maybe its a Promethean Incinerator. Still is a flamethrower basically. But may have different properties.
I’ll tell you what it’s called.

I agree that it should not be called a flamethrower. Incinerator sounds pretty good though.

The flamethrower should return. The human one from Halo 3. It was in H3 why would it not be in H4 ?

Yes, it is. It may not be the flamethrower we are used to in Halo, but it is a flamethrower nonetheless.

Well it shot Flames, and it obviously wasn’t the Scattershot since the bullets look completely different. It should be safe to call it a Flamethrower on account of how it seems to throw flame

It’s a pistol for usre, and it deals flame based damage, call it what ever you like ^^
Reminds me of the “flame pistol” from Time shift, that fired incinerary rounds that could make enemies burst into flames, or as a secondary fire mode was a short range flame-thrower just like the weapon in the video

Apparently it has ammo too so this could be a flame burst tyoe of pistol. It would be awesome to light people on fire in MM.

No it isn’t.
Do you know how fire behaves in atmosphere? They burn and keep going as long it is available oxygen and fuel. However, this scene DOES NOT look like flamethrower, it is most likely pulse gun.

How do you know that that Spartan isnt inside using this weapon were there’s oxygen? And wich would be better against the flood? An Incinerator or a Pulse gun?
If the flamethrower returns without the flame grenades, I am going to be very upset.
The flamethrower was pretty much worthless anyways, and it never made it into matchmaking.
Can someone give me a picture or at least a time stamp so I can try and see?

Because… it’s common sense and little usage on knowledge of physics. Those flames emitted from gun is not flames because if you fire in bursts, it’ll disappear so quickly, making it to be impractical for military.
And also, we cannot be certain that it is flamethrower. So, don’t say it as if it is official. In other words, we do not know. I’m just saying that I doubt that is flamethrower.
