I think a Promethean melee weapon would be cool. Like the ones the Knights use. It could be a mythic legendary and be just like the energy sword except whenever you lunge with it, you teleport like the Knights do in campaign! It would have a larger lunge length too, but decreased movement speed.

Yeah, we can call it the scattershot. It can be the shotgun/sword equivalent for the Prometheans. It’ll be for close range combat, but not a melee weapon.

This actually sounds like a really good weapon and if the community requested it 343 could easily come out with 3 variants of it for warzone.
One where it allows you to swing faster and move faster and have more energy for the weapon. The regular one like you mentioned and finally the Mythic version which could allow you to do something like Charge up a teleport which will allow you to lunge twice the distance but it has a 10 second cool down and it could also have a quick swing effect where it releases static electricity on impact so it does damage over time on vehicles and what not.
Im amused by the idea of this odd weapon concept.

In warzone you can get loadouta with a knight blade which has an impressive lunge.
That’s a pretty good idea. Maybe in the next Halo if it never happens in Guardians.

It could be different than the hammer and sword we currently have by giving it…oh we’ll say 10 yard teleport as opposed to a lunge.
I just feel like the Promethean arsenal could use a melee weapon to mix things up!
Just to amuse myself I guess I’ll try and come up with 3 variants for the weapon.
The base weapon could be called Knight’s Blade or Light Blade. It would start with a 100% charge and use 10% for every hit landed on an opponent. Works similar to the Energy Sword except it has a longer lunge distance, decreases movement speed, and increased damage to vehicles. The swing speed would also be slightly lower than the Energy Sword. I guess this would be Ultra Rare. Also when you kill an enemy they fizzle away like most Promethean weapons.
The next variant could be called Luminescence’s Edge. This could have a 150% charge and an even larger lunge distance. This would be Legendary.
The final variant would be called Cutlass of Strategos or something like that. This would have 100% charge, have the same stats as the normal blade, except it will have increased movement speed, high jump height, bc the Knights can jump very high, and instead of lunging with the blade you teleport. This would be of Mythic Legendary rarity.
