Everyone remembers their first playthrough of Halo 2 and 3 on Legendary, mainly Halo 2, where you constantly had your Spartan Helmet and your Sanghelli head pierced by the dreaded Beam Rifles of the Jackal Snipers. If you’ve seen the Spartan Ops video where one of the players gets wiped out in one hit by what i’m guessing is a Light Rifle, will those darned Promethean Knights take place of those snipers?
There will be Knights with light rifles and possibly Promethean sniper rifles that snipe you. The beam rifle hasn’t been confirmed yet so there might not be jackal snipers.

It has been confirmed that the light rifle has a powerful single shot function when zoomed in.

That doesn’t mean that this was a light rifle. Sniper rifles can be seen being used by the Knights on the level, so I’m thinking that it was indeed a sniper.

No, that means that it fires a single shot when zoomed in, but a burst when firing from the hip, like how the BR was supposed to work in Halo 2.
Halo 2’s Jackel snipers were the worst :p. They could shoot the wings off a fly.
