The more I look at the knights the more they look like beetles to me,giant insects, the four arms Cough precursor the backpack, spined backs<Battlewagon Coughprecursor It would be a pretty cool thing for canon if they were actually modeled after Precursors.idk this is just a small think i thought about.
Well since the Precursors did fashion us we may look like them a bit
Hmmm, I didn’t think of that.
> Well since the Precursors did fashion us we may look like them a bit
Well, precursors are giant insects, from their discription,we look nothing like them, neither do forerunners.BUT the knights do.

I’m not familiar with insects that are bipedal, have four arms, long barbed tails and a flat head. Scorpions come close, but they don’t walk on two legs or have four arms. And besides, we don’t even know if the Primordial was the only KIND of Precursor there is. It’s likely that it is not.

The primoridal was Bipedal wasn’t he?.and at multiple points he was described as insect like (At one point he looked like a spider.)And still,he was a precursor so close enough.

This is an incorrect assumption. The Primordial had insect like features, but as he said in Primordium, he was the last of this kind. The truth is we have no idea what a Precursor looks like. For all we know Precursors could be a collection of multiple different species.
In addition, consider this. If the Precursors made the Forerunners and Humanity in their image, the Precursors would not look like the Primordial.

In Cryptum the design of his cell showed he was indeed bipedal and all I said. Once on Installation 07 he changed to be spiderlike…but at that point he was more of a Gravemind.

Well going off the information we’ve been given so far. That’s all I have, what they’ve said in cryptum and primordium,so im assuming that the knights were modeled after this type. And i don’t remember anywhere saying they were made in their image, just made.

He was always a Gravemind :3
Locked away during the Precursor-Forerunner war, as either a trap or a mistake.
The Precursors being a level 0 society, could have created the very thing that killed them (In the Milky Way) in an attempt to defeat the Forerunners.
OT: The Prisoner of Charum Hakor could have consumed the last of the Precursors (In the Milky Way) and may be why he refers to himself as one. Level 0 or not, all living things are food for something :3

You’ll actually find a pretty lively debate on that in the Universe community. I’m not so sure it was always a Gravemind judging by it’s cell, but who knows right?

Well you need more than a vaguely insectoid head to call it a giant insect.

You don’t get it?
Look at his name
The Forerunner weren’t the biggest fans of the Precursors. I can’t imagine they’d model their technology off their enemies.
I was really concerned about that this morning. The 2 sets of arms and insectoid like head reminded me more of the description of Preursor than forerunner, but in all the interviews the Protheans have been described as part of Forerunner Society, and the terminology is also the same as the Forerunner as described in the books (Warrior Servants etc).
theres no way 343i could have thrown out the lore present in so much of their fiction already could they? I’m still a bit sore about the whole Halo 3 line “you are Forerunner”, where the rest of the lore says other wise.

The knights are AI in big metal bodies. the actual real promethean knights went though mutations that made them bigger still with two arms and two legs.
