Did 343i make the Promethean Knight display a human skull for some deeper reason, or perhaps just for effect?
I think that it’s an opportunity to show some deep, hidden connection between Prometheans and humans. I hope 343i didn’t put that skull there just for show, 'cause something real interesting can definitely be made of it. The bottom line is: What’s up with the Knight having a human skull?
The Forerunner Saga novels mentioned that Forerunners are similar enough in appearance that many believe that Forerunners and humans are related. I could see them having similar bone structure.

Good idea! I already know there is some connection between Forerunners and Prometheans, but it’s a nice idea.

Yeah this is potentially interesting question, in my opinion. I wish this thread would get some popularity 'cause I wanna see all the interesting ideas that the community can bring… So comment… speculate…etc.

I kinda figured the Forerunners and Humans are alike or very similar to one another. Thats why I think the skull is of a forerunner, A Promethean Forerunner.

1: Forerunners of different rates look different due to mutations.
2: No Forerunner in any of the novels was mentioned as having the feature you described.
Have you seen that Legendary Skull? I was referring to it.

We see that they do not have any protruding nose. They have sharper teeth and a mark at the forehead.
It looks similar but not the same. But I agree with you on the fact that the Forerunners underwent mutations that changed the shape of their bodies. That might be a reason why the Prometheans’ skulls look so human

The Forerunners in Halo Legends appeared to have elongated facial features. To me, at least.

Look at Legendary logo (the new one), then look at skull. I can’t really tell if it’s human of the forerunner skull. I’m leaning towards it being forerunner, despite the similarities.

It was my understanding that the Forerunners engineered the human race. In Halo Legends I saw the humans popping out of some capsules and whatnot.

It is possible that the humans were genetically manipulated by the Forerunners at the end of the war. But actually, Forerunners and Humans lived like brothers. They have the same origin. They were both created by the mighty and mythical Precursors.

The forerunners and the humans were at war thousands of years ago. Maybe the skull was put in while they were fighting to inspire fear in humans.
