First off kudos to 343 for throwing in an UNSC air vehicle, something the community has been wanting and 343 to able to help out…it got me thinking though what about any Promethean ground vehicles, where are they? Do you think there is still room for them in Halo 5? I know some people might argue well UNSC and sanghelli are teaming up now, thats why so many of those types. However, we do have access to the phaeton…
That’s a good point, apart from air transport the Prometheans don’t really have anything else. I guess 343 just wanted to make them use already existing gear such as the Mantis, but still even the vehicles are limited, I never see them driving wraiths or ghosts, it’s always the same bland vehicle. I would definitely like a new vehicle, but looking at how long it took 343 to make a UNSC air vehicle I wouldn’t get my hopes up on seeing a new vehicle. It would appreciated, but I’m not desperate, and besides I rarely use vehicles, I mean who needs to when you’ve got your trusty BR 55.
P.S On a side note, I haven’t gotten a phaeton in ages, and I have got every vehicle and weapon (apart from whispered truth) clearance level. It is rather annoying how I keep getting useless weapons especially as all my weapon commendations have been completed.
Are there even promethian ground vehicles in cannon? Should they add it to appease some vocal minority?

See I’m not to sure about the whole Lore thing with promethian vehicles…it is really interesting…I guess this whole time much of the community was hung up on UNSC air vehicles that we didn’t think of promethian ground vehicles lol.
How would you even imagine what it would look like or its capabilities…I figure it would shoot hard light but other than that I’m not too sure…

After seeing this post, I went on to the wiki to read up on this and here is a small thing i found: “the War sphinx used by the original Prometheans”

It is possible that the War Sphinx is the Forerunner equivalent to the UNSC Cyclops or Mantis.
In one of the Terminals, a recommendation of Forerunner armor by Mendicant Bias is accompanied by a mysterious image. This image depicts a bulky, rounded object with what appears to be a long tail and a humanoid figure inside. This seems to match Halo: Cryptum’s description of a war sphinx. It could also be an image of the war sphinx’s newer counterpart, a Seeker.

Maybe, maybe not. However there is no reason for Prometheans not to have a ground vehicle. I have a feeling they will add some form of forerunner tank.
I think the knights with incineration cannons are essentially the Promethean ground vehicles.
Phaeton with wheels because prometheans stuff is more op
As long as 343 doesn’t go for the Transformers look that the Phaeton and Soldier have.
I would like to see a Promethean ground vehicle similar to the Scorpion from Halo 3 (not sure if that’s the right name, its the big crawling covenant thing). Just a smaller version of that with a mounted machinegun turret and two binary rifle like beams shooting from the front instead of a main gun.
