Noticed this little detail in the trailer. By the looks and size of it it might actually be the Promethean “Pistol” but it seems to fire bursts of what looks like flame. I didn’t see any threads on this so I’d thought I’d share it. Thoughts?
Looking closely I am pretty sure it is the Promethean Pistol.

That’s what I thought. But we haven’t seen it in action, for all we know it could be a close range sidearm. My other guess is that it fires the orange bolts that we’ve seen the Knights firing in Spartan Ops videos. In that case the flames could be a muzzle flash or something.
But I’m so hoping that it is a Flamethrower, lol.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up.
Human pistol: Bullets
Covenant pistol (plasma pistol): Plasma balls
Promethean pistol: Flames?
It would definitely change it up a bit, and did you notice how short range the flames were? They were short enough to classify the weapon as secondary, like a pistol.
I’m guessing this then must be the weapon firing the orange bolts. I always wondered how 343 would differentiate the promethean sidearm from other weapons in the sandbox. Promethean Fire Pistol! YES!

Sorry for the confusion but that was exactly what I was saying. I was saying the weapon/ Promethean Repeater in the picture is the weapon that fires the bolts and there for I would expect the promethean side arm to work differently. i.e. fire flames for example.

EDIT: That’s a good video! It would of been cool if the player fires the laser and wherever it fires, it’ll always be fired with it’s massive kickback uncontrolled like Halo 3’s laser, once it’s fired, you can’t move it’s kickback until the laser fades from your spartan laser!
But I’m still happy with the laser.

As long as it shoots Flames (or something like it) I’m happy lol. Hell, if it’s just a huge muzzle flash it still looks awesome.
