promethean energy sword

do you think there might be a promethean energy sword in the game? i hope so it would probably look awsome and make people disintegrate

other than the hardlight swordhand that they currently have, i doubt it. It just seems a bit redundant to have 2 energy swords. i can’t see how you would make them differ enough to feel like separate weapons, yet still work ell.

I think the Scattershot will suffice.

Also, I doubt there’ll be two powerful close quarters weapons in a single faction.

Yea that is basically the Promethean energy sword.though it looks like it lacks letheality

oh ya but having TWO shotguns isnt redundant huh??? oh wait is the same thing so let use have our cake and eat it too

the Knight has its own Energy Sword. will we use it, hopefully, but I doubt it. Two Energy Swords that do the same thing, but look different, doesn’t make sense from a gameplay perspective.

Instead of another energy sword, I thought it’d be cool if the Prometheans had a “Glaive” type weapon, a 3-pronged bommerang-esque melee weapon. Could be thrown for a one-hit-kill, and fly back to the player. Also could one-hit-melee, although lunge is extremely low.

It would look something like this, albeit with major Promethean aesthetic changes:

What about the gravity hammer and golfclub?

Isnt that the Frisbee thing from darksector

I would like to see a Forerunner sword be a combination of the sword and the plasma rifle/pistal. I don’t know if 343 would give it higher ammo for its dual function or lower to make it dynamic, yet balanced with the other weapons. Since there shouldn’t be too many Covenant forces, replacing those weapons would be more likely than balancing and would fit more into the Promethean roles since the Pawn, Knight, and Watcher together represent and replace the previous classes of enemies we’re used to fighting.

We already have 3 guaranteed melee weapons in the game: energy sword, shotgun, and scattershot. Plus, the possibility of the gravity hammer coming back. I don’t think there is a need for another melee weapon.
