clearly i stated that above

huge difference in gameplay let me tell you, and of course someone who plays on xbox one is going to say, “theres no problem with xbox one”, the moment you play on a series x youll be wishing you played infinite on the series x from the get go. clearly if i can play right next to my son and on his xbox one just so i could see what he was complaining about i would know. end of match results take another 45 seconds longer on xbox one than series x. i know this from playing games with him. i have to wait for his game to load before i load into a pre match lobby or it will kick him out sometimes.

I use an Original Model Xbox One from 2014. I’ve hosted 16 man battle royale custom games, not BTB, BATTLE ROYALE, on MCC Reach that utilizes EVERY available inch of Forge World and have absolutely ZERO performance issues. Infinite’s BR mode does NOT need to exclude Xbox 1 especially if it’s going to be 28 max players and not 100.

Also case and point: Fornite runs fine on Xbox One, this argument has now been properly debunked.

I guess we’ll see when it comes out, after playing first flight I sold xbox1 and got series s and basically cost me very little to do that, just didn’t want to play Infinite at 30fps.

It’s still in that phase where developers still utilising both gens, although now beginning to see games only for series s/x appear, also the fact series x’s have been hard to get it makes sense covering both gens.

While it probably would of been a better thing to be s/x, pc only, it is what it is, I think it’s really more the 1s that’s been holding it back more than most, at a bare minimum it should of been 1x upwards

I have a Series S on my monitor and an Xbox One connected to my TV - never attempted playing Infinite on my Xbox One… I’m going to download the game now and see how it plays a little later.

Just to elaborate on my Series S experience… I don’t get any desync issues just a bit a of lag and the occasional dodgy hit registering issue but that’s due to ping going up to 100 when I get put on US servers instead EU servers.

I have an Xbox One. My dad may not even let me get a Xbox Series S|X because he probably finds it redundant. Yet I still agree with this. I think the whole game should be exclusive to these consoles and PC, especially now that they can be bought a bit easier.

12v12 on old old gen struggles for 30 fps. i’m curious how 60 players on a big map is going to work. if tatanka is on old gen its going to be half of 60 players. Currently infinites lobby has 28 players max and people are going to be able to forge tatanka maps so i wont be surprised if the mode is 28 players only.

Also the engine is not the main problem. The problem is halo focuses on high physics gameplay while other game opt for bigger player counts or increased fps. Thats why cod could always target 60 fps back in the day, it wasnt because it had a good engine, it was because the engine didnt have as much to calculate as halo.

Not at all. I dont disagree that thr xboxone version is chuggy and blurry but it isnt the root of the issues you are claiming it to be responsible.
By way of agreeing with OPs logic.

I never said the xboxone version was good its just clearly not the cause of the issues and to claim it is suggests you don’t really know ehat those issues are or how scalling impacts them.
Outside of just having one less thing to do optimisation “passes” not sure if thats an industry wide termonology but its the one im familiar with.

The issues stem from an engine that wasnt in a focused development and changed goals.
An engine that hasnt got core feature implemented in the tool set let alone in game.
And a lack of consistent leadership.

So no need for any side by side videos Mr. Meow but perhaps a need for some reading up on the technical issues.
Im by no meams an expert but even my passing understanding of engines, be it legacy or newer ones like UE and unity it seems exceedingly unlikely dropping ones would reap much dividens at this stage of the game.
Later when they have a base that can be built on to implement newer features and just generally more next gen systems for sure there will be a need.
But as it is its not really doing anything beyond the prior gens ability to run.

Unless you can provide evidence that shows some big system im unaware of.
But to my knowledge basic engine feature are simply unfinished or missing. ?

Edit: @Ryan_lfc_92 it was my understanding that CAs game has been implied to be a seperate entity? Although i dont recall why i believe that to be the case. May be mistaken.

I think you can download it separately just like the campaign but they will all be in the same menu when you launch halo I imagine.

Considering that Warzone is on the Xbox One, this is odd.

I honestly can’t see them supporting XB1 for the entire life span of this game.

I switched recently
I’ve been playing w xbox one x for two month
Im playing with series S since 1 month
I’m tryharding this game since 3 /4 month

  • You CAN’T play Btb on Xbox one x
  • You CAN’T get more than Diamond with Xbox one x
  • You CAN’T 1v1 properly… the servers would give priorities to everybody else

I was playing the sandbox and I tried everything to play enemies closerange
Everybody knows you get a little priority for double melee whenever you play w/ High ping
Same when you play w/ Xbox one

close range. Boring.
It helped me to play more often with the map
anybody with best gears would destroy me even without all that knowledge and training.

Now Im playing series S
I realized when I was playing with xbox one X my skills were not represented on screen due to halo server sync managements

  • I know Im going to get ez onyx If I play with series X or expensive computer

Crossplatform is a real debate.

Haha hell no!

Now that they’ve gotten xbox one players to invest in the game financially, there’s no way they could just drop support for one of the consoles they launched on. Yeah, it’s a terrible ten year plan, but so is any plan based on selling cosmetics for a decade…

Sure they could, and probably will. They won’t do it now or soon. It all depends on the number of players on XB1. If they’re making money - they’ll keep doing it.

I’m not advocating for it - just saying.

All of those purchases are still available regardless of the system you use too.

Considering this game has about 2 or 3 years left in its lifespan, I can.

There’s not a snowballs chance in Hell this game is gonna last 10 years.

Well i’m not sure what to say.

A fair point.

If that’s true and they do make a new Halo game, I bet it won’t support XB1.

If it is, I won’t be playing it. I don’t have anywhere near the money for a series X, or even a series S. I’ve been feeling kind of hyped for it, so it would be a major disappointment if they did make it an exclusive.
