Hey guys, it’s the first time we’ve posted any progress about our project on these forums, but here we go!
Project Lumoria: Episode 2, the sequel and conclusion to Episode 1, is fast nearing completion. If you haven’t heard of Project Lumoria: Episode 1, here’s a trailer to bring you up to speed on what we have created so far
Concerning Episode 2, we are aiming for a release around march-april-may, depending on how things go and given no sudden obstacles. For the time being you can check out 2 gameplay videos we have posted over at our main forums, one featuring an intense beach assault, the other featuring a larger scale vehicular battle including marine driven warthogs!
Sweet. I’ve been waiting for Episode 2.
Plus, fix the cutscene bug where the characters are skipping all over the place. I have a Quad Core system and It shouldn’t be doing that.
I’m afraid I haven’t heard of such a bug. All cutscene bugs were fixed in a small update after the initial release of episode 1, perhaps you meant that? That said it’s impossible to test and fix issues for all possible PC configurations simply because we do not have such PC’s to work on.
Ah yeah, the voice acting isn’t always perfect but we make do with the people we have
And yup, we have butterflies and nice colorful flowers too making it a lush vibrant planet…the ideal place for a lovely picknick indeed!

You guys did a great job with making things pretty.

I see. I have the recent update, but there’s still the cutscene bug. It’s alright for now. What system configuration were you using to develop this?

Are you sure you have the latest update? The map file is called tmc_a_fixed.
When Episode Two is released though we will be releasing a final polished version of Episode One, which has all cutscenes fixed and many other things.

I downloaded the map few weeks after they released It. I thought they re-uploaded the fixed one, so I just downloaded the map. My bad! Not going to re-download It because I already finished Episode 1
You might eventually be interested in redownloading the final version we will release alongside episode 2, since it has a new tweaked intro-cutscene which explains the story, setting and mission more, terminals with background story information, detail objects such as nice looking grass in the environments and more
If by dead game you mean a game in which over 30 000 accumulated downloads were achieved last year for lumoria episode 1, then yes. A very dead game indeed
Obviously it’s not dead though, the halomaps community still is very active till this very day

What’s the average number of players online at any one time? Around 100 is my guess. Every server is desolate except for the ones hosting obscure custom maps and the terrible ones that have been swallowed up by the community.
We create single player content, I don’t even play multiplayer myself. As long as the halomaps forums remain active and several ten thousands of people are interested in our work, I deem that to be pretty active
Pretty awesome guys just one word of advice, try making the added voices in gameplay sound like therye coming from the marines not the actual soundtrack kinda bothered me a bit
One more thing, the voice actors need to immerse themselves into their characters, when I heard the pilot say, “call me scarecrow” I was like “-_-” lol seems childish but good nonetheless can’t wait for episode two
Trust me, I go -_- when I hear that line everytime and I’m the one who recorded it…
It’s especially embarassing when you’re showing this to friends who came over and they hear you go like that
But yeah, we’re trying to improve on the voice acting for ep2 (also after the comments received on the videos we’ve shown here on the forums) and for the most part I think we’re going to pull it off quite well
