Project Ascension

Project Ascension consists of three main branches, “Animus”, “Nexus”, and “Terminus.”

These branches are used to organize players based on where they fit most and allow them to strive for something that fits what they want to do within a community aspect. “Animus” for example, is about having fun, and organizing fun activities, such as “Movie night” or “Game Night with the buds.” Don’t be fooled though! Animus has duties as well, such as recruitment, leading units in campaigns, event hosting, and things of the sort.

While Terminus, is all about competitive gameplay and leaders teaching players how to be better at the game, starting with a quick evaluation of their skill-level, (which is not meant to discriminate them based on it.) and build from there. Terminus also is the hub of tournaments. Terminus also has the task of maintaining an optional leaderboard.

Meanwhile, Nexus, is more or less the Mod/Admin hub for Project Ascension, which is where member placement is done, allowing members to find their ideal home within the community. Member job evaluation is also done here, which is where you are made sure to be doing your tasks within the community if you have one, and are nudged a bit if you fail to do this. Nexus tends to also iron out suggestions and make them useful, and run the campaigns.

Besides the three branches, their are also campaigns.

Campaigns
Military Operations, or simply Campaigns, will be periods of time in which on scheduled days units will come together to go head to head as they test each other on a military board similar to that of the board game Risk. These matches will be done with the spirit of testing our tacticians within the community, as well as testing to see how well our members can compete. For more information, go to Rules and Regulations [here].

Project Ascension has been a long running idea that was cared for, and polished by numerous friends of mine throughout the years. The idea now has a home in this community, and with me helping raise it with the all of it’s members. Our goal, is to see the ascension of values, or leadership, and of skill within all our members. I look forward to seeing all of you come here, and grow as people through this project.

There’s a lot more to Project Ascension. Does this all interest you? If so, head on over to http://projectascension.net/home and join us!

Hello all. Like Lyrics said from a night out with the buds to Military style Campaigns in a environment simalure to risk. What sold me was the risk factor :). Hope to see you all there.

Hey guys. I also hang out at Project Ascension. We have much to offer anyone who wants either a competitive atmosphere, or just a few friends to hangout and mess around with. We’re in our infancy for now, but we’re always looking for new members. We don’t discriminate based on skill. Skilled or not, you’re welcome at PA. Right now, game wise, we only have weekly gamenights across multiple games: Halo, Farcry 3, GTA IV, Borderlands, etc. Eventually though, when we get enough members, we’ll split up into units and get campaigns up and running on Halo 4.

So, if you’re looking for competition or are just tired of playing alone and need a team for Infinity, come hang with us.projectascension.net

Keeping everyone updated with what you can expect from the Project this week. We are currently planned for having something going on every day next week of various types of games, from Halo 4, to Grand Theft Auto, to Borderlands 2.

Alongside these events, we are currently talking with our members to work on hunting down, and helping those who have yet to get the “Endure” achievement for Halo ODST. (Surprise, we do actually go back to old Halo games :open_mouth: )

We also have a recruitment contest going on, for the rest of the month, and the following month in which we are providing Microsoft rewards to our recruiters! If recruiting isn’t your strong suit, but you tend to like MS points, we also have a solo’s tournament being held at the starting days of August!

While our machinima may not be up yet, we are fast at work in provide weekly comics as well as a few creative writings to give you all something to look at while you are trying to find a few hours to kill.

Project Ascension really has a lot planned, for whatever type of gamer you are, from the casual, to the elite. Check us out at projectascension.net to see what we are all about!

Sounds cool.

I was reached out by this group when i just wanted to play with some people. Awesome group of guys, fun times!

Salvanous!!! Graycochea (Darkraven)!!! I remember you guys from Red Vs Blue Wars back in the day! I was known as Raider back then, but its good to see you guys are still gaming.

Raider! If you’re looking for guys to play with, join up. We’d love to have you.

I am now a member of this group too, and if you’re looking for a friendly group then this is it. It may be new, but we’d be glad to have you at Project Ascension. There is always things going on and gamers to play with online.

I’ve been checking into this group, and it seems interesting to me. Not sure if I actually want to be a part of a clan yet or not, I just recently got back into XBL and War Games. I’m mainly looking for people to play with, so I was checking to see how often these players were available.

Just wanted to give everyone an update Project Ascension.

We are really getting a few things polished up, and we now have assigned a few of our members to moderator positions. You can now more easily find someone to help point you in the right direction, and keep check of the site as our schedules demand more and more of us.

Project Ascension will also be hosting another tournament with awesome prizes for those who claim our top spots. The tournament this time being with randomized loadouts, so one match you might be forced to fight with a repeater and a magnum, while the next match you might be blessed with a rocket launcher and a battlerifle.

Other contests going on with the site at the moment is that we are holding a recruitment contest, with our top recruiters getting microsoft point prizes for helping to build our family. This means that if you, and a few of your friends are looking to join a community, check us out, see if Project Ascension is a good fit for you, and you might even get a few microsoft points to pay for that Champion’s Bundle coming up in the comings weeks!

With our lesser events, this week we are testing something out where we are going to do a single player gamenight for Skyrim. We are all gonna be starting new characters, and going through the main storyline together in an xbox live party to laugh, and razz eachother while we enjoy some good old Elder Scrolls action. We are also of course doing some Halo throughout the week, and holding a few recruitment nights where you will see us dive into matchmaking, and see about finding a few members to join us while we laugh and enjoy in some good multi kills.

Project Ascension is working on being a month old now, and while we may have only a handful of about 12 good active members, there isn’t a person among them who I personally don’t find to be a joy to play with, and there to give you a good laugh in matchmaking, or customs.

Check us out at www.projectascension.net we are a pretty easy going group, and even if you decide not to stick around, I promise you will end up having a few laughs with us while you are with us.
