The progression system is one of the strongest points so that the player is motivated to continue playing and feel that he is progressing in the video game. Currently you can only progress in the battle pass and the rankings level, once you finish the battle pass and reach the rankings level you want (if you play competitively at all) you will have nothing else to focus on and progress.
So I think there should be 3 ways to progress in the game:
- Progression in the battle pass
It would be nice if your performance in the games counted to raise the battle pass with the xp, complementing it with the weekly challenges
- The progression in the classification
I don’t play competitively so if you have any ideas on how to improve this system feel free to put it in the comments.
- Social/general progression
I think a large majority of us agree that Halo Reach’s progression system was simply perfect, where all you had to do was play, and depending on the number of hours you spent on the game and your performance playing, you advanced in rank more fast or slow.
This system should have many ranks, where progress is slow, where it takes time to reach the maximum rank, also each rank should have names that make them special and stand out above the others and not just numbers, in halo get to have military ranks and more abstract names in the end, becoming inheritor was the best or facing one was scary.
I think that the way to advance in this system should be very similar or equal to that of halo reach, it is simply very good.
Also to complement, it would be great if every certain level or only when you reach the maximum level they give you some extra reward.
This system keeps you hooked on always moving forward and having a purpose.
