Progression system thoughts

So to me the challenge system is very reminiscent of Halo Reach where you would get challenges that say “capture a flag in capture the flag” or something to that effect. Fine I can deal with that, nevermind the some challenges just seem against you. If you’re going to draw so much inspiration from Reach on the progression including the customization, Don’t half--Yoink!- it… I would much rather have an actual incentive for winning or even losing like in Reach where you progressed, even a little bit, just by completing matches.

I also want to customize my whole color palette and not just choose from preset ones…again. But that’s another story

I know this is a beta still for some reason. Even though that was the point of all those flights wasn’t it? So it should be addressed eventually, but just because it’s a beta doesn’t give game’s a pass to have bad fundamental’s. Whether that be customization, or in the case of BF 2042’s case the gameplay and core of the game.

I don’t want the problem of people just going after challenges getting worse, I want there to actually be a point have be worthwhile to win matches. I don’t want the problem of: My team doesn’t give a shit on playing oddball or CTF the right way, not because they don’t understand the gametype like I’ve ran into lots before. No, this time the problem will be made worse and exaggerated all because of the challenge/progression system and what it incentivizes.
