Well, this been beaten to death already but I HAVE to chime in.
I’ve now played enough to really get a feel on the new progression system… and it needs to be adresses ASAP. You eventually come to a point where the challenges are so specific that you almost never complete them. It completely sucks the fun out of the game! I’m now finding myself backing out of games until I find a map or mode where I can at least try to complete those challenges… It’s BEYOND -Yoink!- stupid.
To the low IQ people that are gonna come in and reply ‘‘ItS fReE tO pLaY’’, well guess what, it was never free to play before and was included with the base campaign for the same price and we could customize our -Yoink!- spartans to our liking without having to jump through -Yoink!- hoops. Same goes for the ‘‘PlAy FoR fUn’’ argument. You used to be able to do that too WHILE looking good and not looking like -Yoink!- clones of each others spartans.
WE JUST WANT TO UPGRADE OUR -Yoink!- I came to a point that if I want to get a set of ugly looking shoulders (lvl 9 and 10 of the BP I think), I need to rank twice and my challenges are really -Yoink!- specific and stupid. So I need to play 40 games to get two shoulderpads that looks like -Yoink!-. For ONE armor core! XD
Congrats to 343i for achieving an abysmal low point in their already sketchy time as keepers of the mantle of Halo. If nothing is done ASAP about it all, I’m -Yoink!- done with 343i. I know that I’m gonna be downvoted to hell and back but I probably won’t even check the replies. I just needed to vent and let 343i know how I feel.
What an bummer of intergalactic proportion.
