If it includes our previously played games and if it has some sort of long term unlocks or achievements, then I’ll get excited.

So season 7 if everything goes right. Either way, who cares, unlocking cosmetics are the least of the game’s problems, by the time they implemented the system there won’t even be 1k people playing it. But A for the effort I guess.

IMO the worst they can do. Getting rewarded in one go for what you achievement over a year? no fun at all. Let me start at zero to let it go as long as possible.

I understand where you are coming from but ultimately it depends on how long the progression system is. If the final unlocks take as long as some previous games, I’ll be pretty angry if I have to start from scratch.
If it’s a lot shorter then previous games, counting how much we have already played doesn’t matter as much but I’d be very disappointed if it works out that way.

I’m very excited and look forward to grinding my Spartan level to the highest rank. I really hope the progression system comes with symbols similar to Halo Reach and not just a number like Halo 5.

We should get the servers fixed first. Going off of crappy game play caused by bad networking shouldn’t reflect your over all service record or the progression system if it’s skill based unless we have a progression system like reaches! And if they give the players a K/D section like previous games again it shouldn’t reflect on the servers!!!

More or less not really. Progression system is a basic foundation of a game’s incentive. Over a year in just to announce a progression in the works is just morale loss.

This isn’t an announcement, just confirmation that it is still in the plans. It was announced way back with the flight feedback that they agreed with the feedback and that they would implement it, but that it would be a while before it would come.

Either way, a year for it to still be “in plans” or “in progression/works” is all the same. The motivation is still to have something to do in game. This late to figure that out, is such a bad thing.

I agree with you. It was announced even before the game release that there wasn’t a progression system. If the next Halo launches without one, yikes.
