Hello, it’s been a while since I’ve talked to anyone on here. For all the people I’ve missed over the years good to see you guys again. For all the newcomers welcome.
So I figured I would get down to business and throw my two cents in. This is mainly my suggestion for the battle pass and progression within after seeing tons and tons of stuff written and on video through tick tock or YouTube.
This might be a little bit long but if you’re willing to put some feedback in or even 343 listening to the any of this and using only a portion of it please by all means.
Far is the battle pass, let’s just get this out of the way it’s not terrible but it’s not great at the same time. Battle passes are supposed to allow a player to progress throughout time and earn their way up. Providing replayability and a sense of progression, just about every game has it that serious and this is no different. But I would like to suggest a compromise to what people are saying and what would actually keep longevity in. While still retaining a decent number of profits because let’s be honest if you guys are getting paid to do it then I’m all chill keep making stuff.
1: make the battle pass challenges almost infinite. This would encourage intense gameplay while still retaining the casual player.
2: far is the new challenges to progress the battle pass I would suggest keep modifying and doing what you’re doing now. The new changes have started making people play those game types the correct way to earn their challenge.
3: for winning a match as solo player I would suggest 25xp for each win as a solo player and an extra 25 xp per teammate that is matched with you. This would encourage future gameplay and collaboration with other players. However if you don’t win you don’t get anything extra just the regular 50 you get now.
4: have more challenges and progression for plane objective games and progression and challenges for going positive in matches. This doesn’t have to be much maybe like one or two kills above your death ratio just as long as you’re not going super negative.
5: expand on the ranked match system. I’m sure this is something that’s already in the works but this would also increase reward gains and bring the competitive community while still keeping the casual community in mind.
6: for for new players and players under I would say the first 20 levels in the battle pass provide those players a boost in EXP. This will promote positivity and really get their feet wet. While still allowing everyone else to grind and not feel too much of a grind.
7: alternative suggestion to number four is to offer medals and XP based on metal gains. However this would have to be highly balanced if you did awesome work better than the rest of your team and went 35 and 4 with 15 assists then you’re going to have a good time but at the same time your team won not yourself. Even though you may have backpacked them to the win.
8: have special events in the next season because there’s not enough time to add anything new this season I imagine. One of the biggest things I would like to see in the next season is a 1v1 and 2v2 tournament style for the casual player. In order to qualify (just spitballing here) if a player has a lot of positive KD then they shouldn’t be matched with someone that has super low KD. This would provide special metals that you cannot buy name plates armor and so on.
9: I am up for making money but… For people to buy all the armor for the samurai armor kind of defeats the purpose of me playing the game and going for the objectives and challenges for said thing going on. In the future I’m hoping that no one can buy it. You have to earn it.
10: this is my final part and if you got to this end thank you for reading. But this one is a little bit different, I would like to see something you have to earn far as armor so when people see you or you get killed by them and see the kill feed they will know what you have to do for it. Kind of like earning recon armor back in Halo 3. You have to get all the skulls on all the campaign missions, you had to get seven on a seven, find all the skulls in the maps, beat the campaign on legendary, and with the last level having all skulls on. That alone can make the most intense player pair up with the most casual player and really incentivize collaboration and cooperation at all levels. Doesn’t have to be recon but make the armor really awesome.
