Even with the progression patch, I still think leveling up is too slow, it has taken me 6 days to get to level 15, and once you have run out of weekly challenges, it takes 20 games to level up. 10 if you use an EXP booster. My solution to this would to be to either 1. Up the amount of EXP given for completing a game. 2. Add a variety of daily challenges, like get kills in general, etc. as this gives the player incentive to be more active and motivated in games. 3. Add a deck of random weekly challenges that would never end and wouldn’t contribute to the weekly ultimate reward, but still gives the same (or modified) amount of EXP, as it will keep players leveling up at a somewhat consistent rate. These are just ideas that I have and am putting out here in the hopes that a 343 dev will find it. But what do you guys think? [EDIT] The point of the Beta is for 343 to get feedback from the general playerbase, it is not meant to be imperfect, it’s imperfect because they are taking in feedback to make it better to most players tastes, so stop flaming them in the comments about how ExP sUcKs. constructive criticism, recommendations, and in general feedback is what they need, and what you need if you want the game to be better. Upgrades people, Upgrades.
TLDR: EXP feels slow, 3 ideas to fix/improve the system, stop flaming 343, quote meme.
nah, it now gives players 50 EXP for completing a match, but I still believe it is too slow. we also have to remember that this is still a beta, a beta that’s suspiciously close to release.
It actually slowed it down.
In the old system, after 15 matches you got 900XP
Now at 15, you get less. To get more you need to play far more matches as the old system stopped the dalies after 15 matches.
I second this idea; progression is ungodly level slow and 50XP for a 10 minute ranked game feels like a small kick in the teeth. I don’t see why 343 couldn’t add normal performance-based XP rewards PLUS their challenges for extra XP? That way everyone wins. Please fix this!
yeh I think you’ve got it spot on really mate, either would work. I just feel a bit meh after sweating out a ranked game to get barely any progression, even if I’ve done really well. Your way works but I don’t really see why they can’t have normal XP progression and challenges? Seems a bit weird to me.
BTB with buddies is fun, grind with your friends to make challenges more bearable (unless you don’t have friends, don’t feel alone, quarantine has been doing numbers on all of us)
